The IGF (Independent Games Festival) is a long running celebration of indie video games.

Indie developers submit their games, and then a panel of judges award prizes for various categories. Previous notable winners include: Everyday Shooter, Castle Crashers, Audiosurf, Machinarium, Darwinia, World of Goo, Braid, Aquaria, Crayon Physics Deluxe, and many many more.

The list of entries for 2010 has just gone live, and can be seen here.

Algodoo
I have a fiddle with the demo of this a while ago, and it is pretty great technology, but limited by my own lack of imagination. It's a 2D environment simulator, where you can create things out of a wide range of materials.
