Try as I might, I can't get past level five of Mayhem. I've the satchel charges, I keep being sent to factory, university or Chinatown districts. In Chinatown I can usually get a good lot of seated areas to burn, which gets me about halfway there but TBH I'm finding it impossible overally to make progress and tick off these activities.

Anyone got a 'fo sho' solution to this?

/edit just found some videos that yesterdays' googling didn't turn up.

Chinatown is pretty easy, look for all the marketstalls, gongs, and shizzle. One trick is to learn the areas well, so you enter (and start the timer) near the place where you'll start blowing shit up - less time wasted.

I don't think I ever used satchel charges - RPGs all the way.

Ah, I've been using the charges as I believed them to get me a better multiplier, the explosions being almost simultaneous compared to the launcher. Will try that way. TBH I'm not even bothering with the Factory and university districts, they are shit. I always like to get a large vehicle for entering the zone though - I might shortly have to get out but if I'm in somehting big enough the nearest row of fencing is easily taken out as a nice starter.

The best way I found (although I must add that I have only completed 1 of the Mayhem locations, and am still stuck on the other) was to do it all in the Marinas district (ie. sack it off any time it sent me anywhere else) and go inside the casino and go berserk with the rocket launcher. If you can chain everything together and avoid blowing yourself up by accident then you can do the entirety of the damage in there in less than half your time.

I've cleared the mayhem near my original pad, only got level six to go on the other one now. As I seem to get thereabouts then be killed, I'm going to finish it off when I own Chinatown, and can start with 4 ho's following me around.

Yup. We de-fence-estrated entire neighbourhoods, Dimmers and I.

Just been doing this in Saints Row, there's a handy trick of getting the most expensive car you can get, then driving to a Rim Jobs or a crib with a garage in the target area and blowing it up. Run inside Rim Jobs/garage, repair that car, drive it out and blow it up again. Repeat until job done.

Any idea if this works in Saints Row 2?
