Quote:
"The first thing I want to do is have a car that I can fit in, but more than that I want to get married," he said.

"Up until now it's been really difficult to find a girlfriend. I've never had one, they were usually scared of me. I'm hoping now I will find one."

He went on: "Hopefully now that I'm famous I'll be able to meet lots of girls. I'd like to get married."

Bless him.

If the tumor weren't removed, would he have kept growing indefinitely? Would he have kept growing until it killed him?

Gotta wonder how the world's tallest man can be 'revealed'. Was somebody hiding him? If so, how?

I don't think so. Andre the Giant had the same condition but didn't grow forever. It did end up contributing to his death, though.

Of course he'll find a girlfiend. A pornstar one. Imagine the size of his cock!

I bet the midget pornstar would shag him.

It probably already has. Most of these above-7-footers die young of complications related to their height.

The guy out of Big Fish, for a start. He was going to play Andre the Giant in a film about his life, apparently.

Um, that was just computer trickery Matthew, he didn't really exist.

The Big Fish guy I mean, not Andre The Giant.

I can't help but feel a tinge of childlike disappointment whenever I see a gigantism fella shuffling about on walking sticks. You always imagine them lifting cows above their heads and using trees to club people and that.

Nghh. 7ft 8.9ins. I hate how they've mixed metric and imperial units there - makes me cross.

No they haven't it's just a decimal fraction of an Imperial unit. It's quite common. Never heard of a thousandth of an inch used in engineering?

I've heard of fractions, like 51/4 ins, obv. I've never seen it written in decimals before, though.

Whilst there is a tradition of 1/16ths of an inch for finer measurements, there's nothing wrong with decimal inches either. As MarkG said, they are common in engineering. My feeler gauges are marked up in thousandths-of-inches.

No, silly, you'd use a micrometer for measuring external dimensions. Feeler gauges are for measuring gaps in things, like your japseye.

The problem is that internal organs like the heart don't keep up with the body growth and they end up constantly strained. This is not conducive to a lengthy lifespan.

He did, but they got it sorted. That's why his features aren't as 'individual' as those of Andre, Giant Singh, Giant Baba, Giant Silva or El Gigante.

A Chinese dude, apparently. His film appears on a link when the Turkish dude is done waving his flag.
