I noticed in the Gaming Mags thread that some of you Beexers tend to read while crapping. I've never understood this "habit", perhaps because I tend to spend less than 5 minutes on the shitter at a time/don't enjoy reading to the aroma of shit, so I wanted to check I'm not the odd man out.

Vote for Victory!

Pretty much the only time it is socially acceptable to lock yourself in a room these days is when you are having a shit. I'd spend sweet, quiet hours in there if I could.

I've actually considered getting a cushioned toilet seat. Pretty much all my magazine reading is done on the bog and in the bath.

Oh, because you've never done it means it doesn't happen. The arrogance!

Usually have something to read to hand, nothing too long though or else I end up sitting there until my feet have gone entirely numb and have to stagger to the bedroom to lie down while the weird pain but not pain feeling and then the pins and needles subside.

Toilet Duck has 10% non-ionic surfactants in, don't you know.

That's how desparate I get for something to read when I am on the bog. People that don't have reading matter by the toilet in their house are worse than Hitler.

On the bog is the only time I really get to read. If I go a friends house, or a toilet at work, I have to whip out my phone and read something on that. Otherwise my bowels don't work properly. :)

I don't tend to spend long enough in there to warrant taking anything to read. If I know I'm going to be there for a while, I'll play a game or read forums on my phone. Spend too long, however, and there's usually a queue.

I always used to spend less than 5 minutes on the loo doing a poo, but as I've got older I've taken longer, so I sometimes read (normally a book rather than a magazine) but mostly I've played on my GBA and then my DS

I once started a game of Advance Wars on the bog and then 45 minutes later when I won I could hardly stand up.

You know the shitter doesn't have a lid on to stop the shit leaping out all over the bathroom, right?

I couldn't do without my phone while on the toilet... whether it's reading a forum or looking on Youtube, I would be bored just sitting there!

Mythbusters did the poo stained toothbrush test... turns out that toothbrushes have poo on them. BUT! Since you've been brushing all your life, who gives a crap?

I read, browse the net and play games whilst shitting.

It's awesome.

Advance Wars and Final Fantasy Tactics almost resulted in me having my legs amputated.

Think about when you've got bad guts and need to spend a long amount of time in there. Do you just want to sit there bored and thinking about how ill you are, or do you want to read a few game reviews and it'll be over before you realize?

It's why it should be limited to only 3 books or magazines. The piles stop the door opening.

I've had DS play, iPhone play, regular texting, and also reading of various magazines eg. Total Film, Viz.

Could never see the point of keeping an Auto Trader in the loo though.

A collection of New Scientist (read the news bits, the 'funny bits' at the back, and try to get your head around quantum thermodynamics while you dump) & National Geographic (oooh, pretty pictures) provide excellent material while awaiting the culmination of your colonic cogitation.
:nerd:

& they work when you run out of bogroll too
