I've been told by a customer that a game they bought from me for Mac is seemingly blank on most of the discs. If they return it to me would I be able to see whether there is data on the discs or not?

You should be able to physically look at the underside of the disc and see if there's anything on it.

And if there is, can a PC see the files? It could still be that there's data on there but unreadable.

I believe CDFS is platform-independent, so yes.

Could it be that the Mac had a CD drive and not a DVD drive?
