Hello, I is Tim Westwood [explosion fx] and you is welcomed to Pimp that 8 bit. I'm gonna be bitching about 8 bit computers that have been pimped. Though I is 20 years old so can't remember these.

That Atari reminded me of something I've got -

Image
Game Theory Admiral, or, er, GTA for short.

It's designed to take Famicom carts, but with an adaptor, it'll play Pal NES carts too. Just needs a bit of balance. :)

More excellent stuff tonight! I like this a lot.

One minor correction, though: 'I is...' is an Ali G phrase. Westwood doesn't talk like that (the fact that he is surprisingly well-spoken adds to his unintentional hilarity). The mistake is not only your, though, Chinny: Radio 4 comedians do it all the time.

I don't want that to make it seem like I do anything but love this thread though.

Don't know about that, but it reminds me of an image from SuperPlay where they had this big tower of adaptors plugged into a SNES cartridge slot. Though there doesn't seem to be an image of this on Google.

I thought I'd see what the best I could do was, but unfortunately I don't have as many adaptors as I thought I did...

What are the little flick switches on the side of the SNES for? TURBO POWER? Or region switching?

Region and 50/60hz, which means that it doesn't need all the adaptors in it anyway :)
