Review Tales of Monkey Island Episode 1 for me

Just got review code for this, anyone wanna review it for me?

Embargo is July 7th, so if you could get it done by then, that would be excellent. Preferable the review would be done by someone who has played the other games in the series.

On a similar note has one played the zombie cow point and clicks?

I played their free one 'Ben There, Done That' and enjoyed it muchly and recommend it to everyone.

First Impressions:

The graphics are ok. The characters aren't that good but the scenery is awesome. Flotsam Island reminds me a lot of the first island on wind waker (and that was the remark my girlfriend did when she was passing by and saw me playing), which can be only a good thing.

The writing is average. For me the problem is that the game tries to hard to be funny all the time. Sometimes it succeeds, but most of the time doesn't.

Puzzles have been quite easy, but i don't like obscure puzzles in adventures so that's ok.

All in all, it's been enjoyable but not a classic.

Thanks yous. I haven't been myself over the last few days, so the review isn't really "me" enough. Maybe the rest of the series will improve once I run out of ways of comparing it to previous MIs and S&M. Plus LewP gave me the green light for pictoral reviews if I wanna.

I just thought you'd purposefully toned your humour down for a different audience, that's all. It's still good writing, though.
