Fuck me, a data signal!
I'll keep this breif, as we can't stop for long.. We're pretty deep into the rainforest now - the humidity is playing havoc with all the electrical equipment, and the camera struggles as the lens steams up about ten miliseconds after you wipe it off. I'll attach a few shots, although I've not taken many.
It's so fucking hot - around 38 degC at the moment, apparently. Still, the cars are running well and most people seem to be in high spirits, even considering the amount of gear we're carrying.
A few days before I head back home!
Hope you're all behaving!
S'later,
Grim...

Is this one of those backstory logs you get in games like Bioshock and Metroid Prime?

Next log:
Last night's expedition went well, we found the creature we were tracking. Unfortunately, it ...
...and without a head. What could have done this? Maybe further study back at the lab will provide an answer.

I can't believe someone's moaning about a rainforest because there's no data signal in it. Ranulph Fiennes hated the Antarctic as there was no valet parking.

The Eden Project is properly excellent. Anyone who hasn't been really should - you have no good excuse given that it's in your own damned country for most of you. And yes, that includes you Scotch.

The Eden Project is excellent.. I didn't think much of the arcade though. It was all a bit "environmentally aware" for my liking.

Have been to C.A.T and Machynlleth (or however) numerous times though. If in Wales, go there.

The Eden project is about 90 minutes drive from my house!

I think I'm the closest to it on the forum, apart from Malia when goes home to his parents...

According to Multimap for Gill its

Distance: 519.28 miles, about 9 hours 10 mins from Glasgow :-)

We went there about 4 years ago , had a week in Padstow camping and cycled a lot around the area - there are some good cycle tracks , and you get a discount (and jump the queue) at Eden if you walk or cycle in

It looks properly humid in those pics.

Also, if you find any tropical hideouts containing Rev Jones style cults, ask them if they've got a signal. They may be obliging. Don't drink the Kool Aid though, but if it's Fentimans, glug away - after all you're only human.

I thought it was overpriced and shit, but I went there very early on and it might have changed. I hope people enjoy themselves there.

None of the above. It was the spiky man sculpture from the desert dome that I put a picture of into one of the photo challenges. I'll hunt it out.

It was like that in the tropical section of the zoo. It took ages for my lens to acclimatise in there.

I meticulously planned a surprise visit for Maria and I to go there about 4-5 years ago.

I can't remember why I had to cancel it last minute, but this thread has rekindled my interest in planning it again.
