Team BETEO

Right I've made FIFA 09 Club for our forum although we need 10 players and I doubt we've got that many on here witht he game.

Anyway if you want to join please post in here with your gamertag and I can invite you to join. I think we can have mroe than 10 players aswell subs and stuff hopefully anyway.

BETEOship

Also I have made the BETEOship, a league for the forum to play against each other.

You can get to that from the main menu then...

Xbox Live>Online Game Modes>Online Leagues>Search Leagues

then hopefully if you search for the abbreviation BEEX it should bring up our league, where we can play against each other.

The password is

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
rage

Ive made the maximum number of teams to 20, hopefully we can start a league anytime without having 20 teams. If not I can make a new one.
Also Ive got chelsea and could make a new one where were not allowed 5 star teams.

Cheers! Put us in boss, I'll play anywhere, etc

I have play a couple of online ten vs ten games. It's pretty rewarding if people vaguely stick to the formation. Some chump got sent off for commiting GBH on me too!

I thought you were offering to help me with the league problem. Im hoping its some kind of internet problem between me and my mate rather than a busted mode.

Ditto. It's my birthday next month, and if I buy anything for myself now it'll be quite hard to play because my wife will stab me through the neck.

This is oddly compelling, I had no idea you could do this in FIFA 09... may have to purchase! To the bargains thread!

I am very much up for this event. However, my 360 is currently sitting in a UPS warehouse waiting to be shipped out for repair, so it's going to be at least three weeks before I can do very much. I may well have to wait for season 2.

Hope so. I'll certainly investigate properly once I get my 360 back.

I think there's some point where you have to agree to sign up for an EA account and use their servers. Have you done that yet?

Yeah, I had to do that with Tiger Woods - I think once you've done it for one EA Sports game, the account can be used with all of them...

It might be worth a go, but old editions of football games never fetch a good trade-in price, and everyone wants to sell them when the new 'model' arrives, but not too many people want to buy them. It always annoys me at car boot sales when I see a box fell of Sega Saturn games going for a pound each, only to get closer and find out they're all copies of FIFA '97.

If you had a set of every FIFA game ever, from the Megadrive original all the way up to FIFA '08, I wonder how much it would fetch on eBay? Maybe having the full set would be interesting.

The only good thing about the Megadrive original was being able to blatantly shove people off the ball, then running away from the referee forever so he couldn't book you.

Picked this up yesterday and had a few games last night. I had one game of be a pro and managed to win 2-0 but I myself didnt score although I did manage to set a goal up from a crossage.

I was having a bit of trouble with the camera...what do you guys suggest? I tried
focus player (not good)
focus ball (better)

playing up the pitch (kept going offside)
playing across the pitch (not bad)

I'm guessing there is a way to focus on the ball but to have a screen in screen mode where you can still see your player? Also, the camera modes such as broadcast etc, may look nice but are difficult to play with. Or is that just me?

I know I could probably figure the above out given time, but I thought Id ask my well informed chums first.

Anyway, Im up this is bezziness and if you could throw an invite my way that would be smashing. :)

how about we start the league tomorrow night? so anyone wanting to join can do so by following the instructions in the first post to join the league.

I think it will be a while before we can do 10 v 10 match

My 360 is still at the 360 Mending Shop - has the manager mode improved any since the awful, terrible system used for the manager modes in FIFA '08 and (the Xbox 360 version of) FIFA '07? It was handled rather better in the original Xbox/PS2 version of FIFA'07, but that was still quite annoying. How hard is it to use a similar transfer and training system to something as old as Premier Manager or Championship Manager 2?

The league has kicked off with a stunning 0-0 draw between Barca and the Arsenal.

The Manager Mode is not perfect but it's playable. To be honest I've been playing Pro Evo for years so have nothing to compare it to but my housemate who has been playing FIFA 07/08 said they'd ironed out a lot of the bugs.

so the 10 v 10 achv.

everyone has to pick a position and not just 'auto'.

so far out of 10 games there is also 2 or 3 who stay on auto.

hngh.

Does anyone fancy a game of Bezzie FIFA tonight pre-Final?

Manchester United vs Barcelona?

Could be a laugh...

(and yes, there might have been a more recent thread to bump, what whatever)

What time? I'll probably be able to squeeze on at 7 for an hour. Does it kick off at 8?

I don't think I can get on before kick off, but might have a look around Live afterwards and see if anyone is on for a game later in the evening.

Would be really good to have some more inter-bezzie footie action, it's much better than getting absolutely hammered all the time against strangers.

7.45 or 8 or something.

I'll be on at 7 if anyone else fancies it.
