Me. In since seven, but only in for another hour. Then off until Tuesday (but only because they're my rostered days off as opposed to any actual 'you don't need to come to work as it's a bank holiday'ness) so the weather better fucking improve.

Your contribution to this thread is over! Don't make me break out the blue and create a special BH workers' group.

Yeah I've got the day off. Also last week. And the previous 12 months. And the foreseeable future.

I don't think you've thought this through. You holidayers have a whole forum to use. This is for we downtrodden Bank Holiday workers!

Don't make me create an announcement thread announcing that this is a thread for BH workers.

Just don't make me.

I'm "working" today. It's blowing half a gale so I never went out, instead I sat gazing across the sea while mending my pots, smoking my pipe, drinking rum & singing songs about piracy.*

*Some of the above may be a lie.

Now I'm fixing some old guy's computer in exchange for beer.

I would be working tomorrow and Sunday, but I've taken them off for birthday-related reasons.

I think I've worked maybe one weekend or bank holiday in the last three years. Right now, I don't miss my shift work one iota.

I've been on call over the weekend. and have taken calls every day.

Should be in for some nice money for that £200 (for being on call) + 17.5 hours worth of pay (some double time, some time and half, and if I end up doing another 90 minutes or so today, that will go up some more)

I've spent the entire weekend working on a game feature. 800 words and the laborious process of collecting screenshots still to come. *Sigh*.

Tuesday is my Easter. Then: another feature.

Both bank holidays worked here. But at least I get time and a half for it, for the last ever time before the company cut my pay.

I think the insurance is a bit high on it, but it is the right sort of size of car now. ( The wife now wants a Golf or an Astra size)
