I have this evening been putting some serious time into Typhoon 2001. It's a remake of Tempest/Tempest 2000 for the PC and is quite possibly the best free PC game money can't buy.

My verdict: Great fun! But now my eyes hurt and I'm completely crap at it - 40,000 points is all I mustered. But I shall practice more, and become less crap! Um, yes!
