Right, this is excellent. I posted in in Bits & Bobs, but that's not enough.

http://overkillpostercreator.com/

That site there lets you create posters for the new House of the Dead game. It's a lot more fun than that sounds.

Examples -

http://twitpic.com/1f0uj
http://twitpic.com/1f0yr
http://twitpic.com/1f17c
http://twitpic.com/1f1es
http://twitpic.com/1f1ke
http://twitpic.com/1f1pd

If the actual game's this good, it's going to be a must buy.

The Rev's excellence is too great for mere links. To the image-embed-o-tron!

The site generates these at wall-paper size resolutions, by the way, up to 1680x1050.

Hmm. Twitpic doesn't seem to like me linking directly to images. So here's a link to the special BeeX poster -

And a couple of others -

So, what's the game, then? Some kind of Wii lightgun thingy?

I've been informed (via Jake from 8bitjoystick on Twitter here) that this has a two-guns-one-player mode. This moves the game up in my estimation from "hmmm, maybe" to "FUCK YEAH".

It is, aye.

It's quite fun. More House of the Dead, really, which isn't a bad thing. Not very long, though, and the unskippable cutscenes annoy me. Also, the acting is terrible and they swear for the sake of swearing. But that isn't what the game's about. The shooting is quite fun.

Odd, i could skip the cutscenes after the first time of viewing (which was enough), annoyingly it was A button and not on the trigger.
I found this game most ace, especially with the 'handcannon'

I couldn't stomach them the first time around. I haven't tried another play-through yet, but a game shouldn't make cutscenes unskippable even if it is your first play.

Violence, endless gunplay and violence in...

50,000 DEAD: A Cop With An Attitude

I suppose he's a bit like Max Payne.

He looks more like David Beckham in an uncomfortable suit. And blind.

A blind agent who wears sunglasses and shoots everyone without hesitation?

That'll never catch on.

From the makers of 50,000 Dead: A Cop With An Attitude and MYSTERIOUS comes a heart-rending medical drama...

Papa's Ball Trauma

It made sense at the time.

--

After the box-office failure of MYSTERIOUS and Papa's Ball Trauma, the studio decided to go back to basics...

I hope you spend the extra pound in acades and do this on all lightgun shooters.
Hang on though, what's the difference between this mode and a normal two-player lightgun game?

Mr D, I am intrigued by your ideas, and would like to subscribe to your film studio's news letter.

No idea. Combined health and a bit easier, maybe? Played two-players-as-one is pretty frantic most of the time because you have twice as many targets to track.

I used to do this a lot on house of the dead 2 on the Dreamcast and I was surprisingly good at it!

I remember watching Gamesmaster or something where Marshall Mathers played Virtua Cop 2 two player on his own and tried not to get hit.. actually, no.. I remember now.. he played 2 arcade machines one player and tried not to get hit. Does that make sense?

Anyway.. he failed.

I think you mean Martin Mathers, not Eminem ;)
He got a fair way though.

Are any of the plastic 'guns' for the Wii good?
