Hello beautiful and intelligent people.

We have the annual school Easter Egg competition fast approaching. I have ordered an egg (well, six), one which needs to be hard boiled and decorated. It must be a single egg.

Last year we made a stegosaurus. So this year I feel like we need to have some kind of egg pun.

I can’t think of any group of people better suited to offer up egg puns than folks here.

It’ll have to be something quite simple as a six year old is going to be helping me paint/stick it together, but there is no theme or anything.

Obviously family friendly, and appealing to kids would be good, too.

Dress the egg up as a high school teacher in a gang infested school and when asked about it say it's Dangerous Minds and that's Pfeiffer, Michelle.

I’d have to choose Bill OR Ted (the rule is one egg, sadly) but I don’t think 5-6 year olds would know most of these, sadly. But they’re great!

Paint it white, make some little red gloves and booties for it and you’ve got Dizzy! ;) Could even do the other Yolk Folk, although no-one will get the references I expect.

I’m 50/50 undecided whether to go for the Humpry Dimpty idea or try to make a Willy Wonka egg.

We ended up going for Willy Wonkegg and the Chocolate Egg Factory.

It’s not finished as we need to stick the woogly eyes on.

That little hat and jacket is cute.

At first glance I was not sure if the little bit of felt was a bow tie or a moustache.

It has some pen detail on the bowtie now, and a face. Darwin and I got the glue gun out and he stuck all the hat, eyes etc in properly, and he painted all of the bits and bobs and stuck LOTS of things on it. The sign says Willy Wonkegg’s Chocolate Egg Factory.
