Be Excellent To Each Other

I am pretty sure that when I was at school there was something on the TV (could have been a sitcom, sketch show, or even an advert) that went along the following lines:

A sheep dog (or possibly a shepherd, or a normal member of the public) running around a field chasing sheep repeatedly shouting "Mint Sauce" (possibly with a jar of mint sauce) at them.

Did I imagine this or did it happen?

It was a three part mini series with Sir Donald Sinden and the guy who played Moxy from Auf Wiedersehn Pet.

If it's any help, there are a couple of videos on YouTube of something similar. No mention of what inspired them though.

It was a mountain biking sheep.

I think I saw a sketch like that on Trigger Happy TV, or another show of that type.

It was certainly before then. I have an image of me being about 13 in some remote Scottish field with sheep all around, and my brother, my dad and myself all running after the sheep shouting "mint sauce". Now either we are comedy geniuses, or we were aping someone else's creation.

Don't think so, it would have been on TV, I mentioned this to someone at work, and they remember it too, but not where they saw it.
