RyanAir is mulling over whether to charge passengers to use its toilets—the ones in its planes. Paying for food, I get. Paying for water irks, but, again, OK. But paying for going to the toilet? Gnh.

That's mental.

"I don't have any change, what do you want me to do? Piss out the window?"

Yeh gods. That is utterly crazy.

Just put the prices up if it is needed. These stupid measures will just drive people away.

Shit on the plastic tray and fold it back into the seat in front. Simple.

I kinda admire this guy.

I've never seen someone so honestly and planely talk like a money hungry dick. No spin, no pretence. Just - 'I'm a douchebag, and I think I can make you pay a pound to piss, ha ha scum.'

Especially after their ridiculously emotionally honest reply to the media about that blogger. "Yeah, we should stop talking to idiot bloggers on the internet."

I mean they are clearly cunts to avoid at all costs. But at least it is refreshing behaviour.

Actually I can sort of see why they'd want to do this.

It will encourage passengers to pre-empty at the airport, so they'll be lighter and thus the plane will use slightly less fuel. (The toilets empty into tanks nowadays, don't they?)

There will also be much fewer passengers getting up during the flights, so they won't be blocking the aisles for the tat trolleys.

Essentially they're trying to streamline the process as much as possible towards the ideal of a flying cattle truck. I'm 100% certain that they'd do away with seats if they could get away with it.

Ummm, I've flown with Ryanair quite a lot, and usually have no cash on me at all.

You lose, stupid greedy man!

They did away with reclining seats so that they didn't break, so they could save money on repairs. Mind you, that is a bloody good move, speaking as a long legged bloke who is crippled if the seat in front reclines onto me.

Good point made in a news story I read. Pay to use the toilet and no-one will buy their overpriced drinks which account for most of their in-flight revenue. Nice planning there.

Just heard on the news here that there are no plans to introduce such a system. Ryanair spokesman said Michael O'Leary "makes a lot of this stuff up." He's such a zany iconoclast. Fucking cunt.

It's got so bad for me* that the last time I was in that situation I didn't contort my legs. I just braced myself so their seat couldn't move back. Then I politely stated that "I have large legs and I couldn't make space sorry". It's the only dickish thing I do when travelling (at least I hope). But it just hurts too much otherwise.

*Literal tears over crushed legs. That I had to pull up off the ground to fit in - so spent hours squashed and dangling... That and my dads multiple DVTs.
