NAME THAT GAME:

Ok. This game is bugging me. I only played a demo which I got from PC Gamer. It would have been anyway between 1996-2005. Probably around 2000. It was an adventurey game, I think. 90% sure it was point and click, but you might have moved the geezer via the keyboard. It was definately third person. It was sci-fi, dark looking, futuristic. I'm pretty sure it was a sequel, but I could be wrong. I also keep getting it confused with The Longest Journey and Nightlong, so it's name may have been similiar. The backgrounds were rendered 2d scenes. But I can't remember if your dude was a sprite or a model. I'm thinking spritey. Now, for gameplay, it was only a demo so I don't remmeber much, but:

You started undearneath some giant sand crawlery machine. The best description would be it was a gaint sir killalot. You'd been dropped off their by your buds. I think you're some kind of spy? You go through the door, and wander about the engine room then onto the next areas, getting through doors and shit. I think you were trying to turn off the engines? No idea.

Oh, you had access to a gun, but I don't remember firing it in the demo.

Now, armed with that brilliant set of information (?!!), please name that game. Pleasseeeee?

Just pretend you're thinking of Beneath a Steel Sky and play that instead.

It turned out to be In Cold Blood, made by the same people who did BASS :)

Oh yes. It's free from GOG now.

This thread is full of coincidences. I just went on GOG to see how much ICB is. ($6). Also: I don't need to play BASS again, free or not. I've played it about a billion times.
