I've added some feeds I want but my unread count is too huge due to some feeds being from demonoid. I want to exclude them in google reader and cannot, dewspte following some instructions. What do you guys do?

Also thread to be for general RSS and google reader 'wot I do' type debate.

Can you not subscribe to a more specific set of RSS feeds from Demonoid?

Knowing Google though, is there not a filter you could set up, the same as for Google Mail that automagically matches keywords in the subject to mark as read?

I wouldn't know where to begin, but I can, well, Google it on Sunday.
