What do you plan to do with 2009? My brief list is:

    Get out of my overdraft
Make npower wish they'd never tried to fuck with me
Not go to any takeaway outlet for food. You heard me.
    Get married (possibly, cash dependant)
Fit into these jeans that still don't fit
Run another half marathon, probably in March.

Over to you.

Anyone doing anything interesting for new year? I'm sticking with my 'sit on arse at home' strategem.

I predict 2009 will be the year of the electric car, linux will dominate on the desktop and Konix will finally launch the Multi-System.

For me...

Loose weight and get fitter...
Pay off our credit cards.
Have our first born now at (29 weeks and counting)
Finish the garden off
Redeocrate the house.
and look forward to my first wedding anniversary

Plus I think the hydrogen cell will be beat the electric car.
Linux although great... open source will never go main stream, unless it can be locked down securly

  • Lose a stone
  • Get married
  • Go on holiday of a lifetime
  • Create something worthwhile; be it writing, art, music or whatever
  • Pick up my guitar properly for the first time in three years
  • Play less Xbox 360 and more other consoles (but less in general)

2010 will be all about fitting a new kitchen and then paying off debt. 2011 will probably be paying off debt.

2009 I don't know yet.

There will be an increase in terrible perms.
Craster to be replaced by an exact robot replica.

Lose some more weight

Spend less time on my computer (this may prove tricky due to item four)

A couple of the items above may be impossible but it's nice to dream. :)

Been there, done that, got the death certificate.

My goals for 2009:

* Carry on much as I am.

I'm such an unmotivated little shit. Paying off my credit card debts would be nice, but is unlikely now that my parents haven't sold their house (and are even more unlikely to now that the market's collapsed)

2009 for me should be a pretty interesting year, and hopefully a damn sight happier than 2008 was...

- Become a father. 5 and a half months to go!!! :D
- Meet a new Lady Zio.
- Try not to get this new Lady Zio up the duff.
- Sort out my monstrous debts. I bring home fairly decent money now, so it's time to get this sorted.
- Sort out my chronic timekeeping problems. Hopefully coming off the happy pills soon will help with the morning drowsiness and me shifting my arse.
- Go somewhere nice on holiday, even if it has to be Cornwall or something.
- Hopefully start up writing again (but I say this every year).

Do you live round there? I used to live a couple of miles down the coast at Lyme Regis.

I'm also intending to get a new kitchen and pay down some debt. Maybe we should set up a sub-forum for those things.

Also:

Get fit!
Lose some weight!
Get a hobby so I'm not so bored! ( I'm thinking I might learn some electronics )

Sounds good, although no one would remember it was there and all talk of home improvements would be banished from the main forum.

Nope, unfortunately not but I would love to. I recently got into fossil collecting and that area as you probably know is nirvana for people like me.

I have only bought them on Ebay thus far but I am looking forward to the thrill of finding my own when I holiday there this year.

See, that's the thing - there's not one of my hobbies that I'd like to give up. What I'm planning on doing is instead creating 30-hour days.

Why not just give up on sleeping those few hours? It hardly seems worth bothering with.

I thought about that - but then I figured that if I went from 4 hours of sleep to no hours of sleep, I would most likely break.

We would have. If it wasn't for the fact that you've stated elsewhere that you're going to have a nap when you get home.

Hmm...

Do the full (or five of the six, which is what counts for points) season of the Toyota Sprint Series.
Visit the US again for some kind of motorsport viewing weekend (depending when stuff is on. Pocono or something like that).
Visit the US again (again) to compete in the Duryea hillclimb.
Do the JAE show.
Get out more I suppose.

* Get stuck right into my history course
* Take full advantage of my brilliant new job
