I never won a 'Blue Peter' badge. Frankly, the trauma of my childhood probably stems from this.

I was never in the gallery on Take Hart.

I always wanted to be.

Never actually sent in a picture, though, to be fair.

That game show hosted by David Walliams where contestants had to swim around in a giant bowl of soup collecting things.

Mrs Squirt won a Blue Peter badge. She drew a picture of a kangaroo - you could try that.

Would having another person to help you change your ways? I'd be up for some hunting and killing.

Anyone remember the Fingerbobs?

And who can remember Grange Hill, when it was good? That is, before it became a preachy, issues-led series of morality plays, populated with uninteresting characters in bland situations?

How much room have you got in the car Sheepeh, I think we might be going on a long trip?

Knightmare was shown on Challenge a few years ago, so while it's obviously not as good as it used to be, it's still watchable.

I went back and rewatched it a few months ago. It was really shit, but at that age and era, you tend to be extremely blind.

It's still nostalgically awesome though.

Dunno, wasn't here.

The thing is, "What about them Clangers" can lead to - for example, you understand - "What, you never saw Star Fleet X-Bomhber?!?!" and a new generation of ardent fans being created, with much joy a-plenty.

But first, first we must mention Bagpuss and the like. I always preferred Ivor The Engine anyway.

Kiddo! According to Wikipedia, Fingermouse was the main Fingerbob, but got hiss own series in 1985, which is what I presume you remember.

Any other old farts here who remember Michael Bentine's Potty Time? And before you ask, no, I was not his wet nurse...

I had Ivor the Engine wallpaper when I was a kid. It was awesome. The track joined up and looped around forever.

EDIT: In fact, this very wallpaper!

The trouble with Knightmare was that the kids were so horribly inept it made it far too frustrating to watch.

I think my brother liked it, though. He's eight years younger than me, so it might have caught him at a better age.

Possibly - but that would mean i was 14 while watching which probalby isnt right :-)

Oh and i remember the theme tune so it would be the original one , or one of its many re-showings

Quote:
"The memorable theme tune went "Yoffy lifts a finger, and a mouse is there/Puts his hands together, and a seagull takes the air/Yoffy lifts a finger, and a scampi darts about/Yoffy bends another, and a tortoise head peeps out/These hands were made for making, and making they must do.""

Would you like a special CUS Cuddle? It's sort of like a Care Bear Hug, but leaves unwelcome track marks where I press up against you.

I'm not big on nostalgia. But! I am big on finding new ways to keep belming on about Star Fleet X-Bomber!

And white dog poo. :D

Bertha, oh lovely Bertha, somethimes I think you're a dream, de-doody dum de something something do do de doo doo.

My sister loved Button Moon. I always wanted to go on (Pat Sharp's) Funhouse. Remember those twins on it, eh? Bet they were actually quite ugly, but as a kid they seemed kind of attractive.

Also - there was some TV series set in space on BBC I think, there were two robots that looked like they had lego pieces stuck to them, and the small one looked a bit like a rollerskate. Anyone know what that is from those vague and probably massively inaccurate ramblings?
