Heya,

Sorry about making a new topic thing, it can be deleted after I've got my answers to it.

I have just been told to go online and do this as it's tells you everything, what you owe, whether your place is blacklisted, whether you are blacklisted and all that jazz

Does it? Is it a good service? I'd be interested in doing it if it helped me out and helped me understand what exactly I owe

Yes, it's great. Although I personally use "MyCreditExpert" by Experian.

Why don't you two have these conversations beforehand? It'd save on poor* Grim...'s bandwidth.

It's worth noting that Experian and Equifax are the two major credit referencing agencies, and there is no guarantee which your creditors will record any defaults with, or which a potential lender will use to check.

Yeah, I find it doubtful that your letting agent will bother to report to these guys.
