I am trying to find some good batman art... I have googled but not found a great amount..

The reasonign behind it, is that I am toying with the idea of getting a new tattoo, and think the Dark Knight could be an idea...

any help or suggestions would be great

With tattoos, I always feel the more stylised the better. With that in mind, this:

Only with the symbol being in black, obv.

Bah, Dimrill beats me to it.

Adam West is a legend. I was watching a repeat of Batman on BBC4 a few months back and his acting is so utterly terrible it crosses the line into total brilliance. I want a proper modern Batman movie with all the darkness and horror, but with Adam West at the centre of it. It would be so awesome that galaxies would start to collapse.

I like the bat-sign outline idea better than the "OMG LOOK AT MY MUSCLES!" Batman.

It doesn't HAVE to be the sign though right? *First whiff of a new tattoo got her attention*

And would you want it black, outlined, coloured? Because I have a few ideas :)

Ok ok... sorry.. I meant I want artwork, relating to the Comics / Dark Knight (not the films)

I have had a good look but can't see anything. The link I put from Jim Lee is the type of work I am looking at

I think your tattoo should be MafiaBurtTank.jpg. And I think we should get a hidden camera recording of you going into the tattooist parlour, presenting the picture, and asking for it across your back three feet wide.

Rather than get a tattoo you could buy my biker's jacket on which I painted this - about 18 years ago! Props to Dave McKean who did the artwork for Arkham Asylum from which I copied this.

A tattoo based on one of the interpretations of Batman in 'Batman: Black & White' could be pretty cool.

On the subject of the Adam West Batman, my favourite line ever from that is when Bats said "We've come a long way from the Prime Minister's exploding cake... or have we?". That might well be my favourite sentence in the English language.

I'm also a big fan of what has to be the Comish's best line from the 1966 movie:

"The sum of the angles of that rectangle is too monstrous to contemplate!"

Call me a bluff old traditionalist, but I'd have to go with the line so eloquantly illustrated by Dimrill's picture - "some days, you just can't get rid of a bomb!"

Certainly a classic, but over-quoted. There are so many other lines from that film that are pure gold.

Sinister, I used that exact font in the big Children's Websites folder I was making today - for the comix page in fact.

Ah, it reminds me of a brilliant book called How To Be A Superhero. "Hey kid, want to put on these tights, and I'll teach you to wrestle and we'll cruise the streets at night looking for some hot action!"

I think the B&R slash tat is mega! :luv:
