High summer. Sweaty nerds. 36 hours of Trek. Can you imagine the smell? Are they going to fumigate afterwards, or just burn it down and rebuild?

I can't think of a worse thing to do for a full summer weekend.

Imagine the poor sods who'll be peeling them of their seats at the end.

Lots of them in one place at the same time. Jeeves, fetch the guns. And pack extra ammo.

The problem with a Star Trek Marathon is the first movie. It's a good job they've got the new one to show though. Imagine starting with ST:TMP and finishing with Nemesis? Jesus.

I watched a bit of Wrath of Khan the other night - I've seen it before and I know it's one of the better ones, if not the best one of the films with the original crew. What made me smile was the conversation between Spock and Kirk after the scene near the start showing Kirstie Alley as a young Vulcan failing the Kobayashi Maru (or whatever the hell it's called) simulation. Basically referencing Kirk being one of the few to have beaten it by unorthodox methods which was a scene in the reboot from last year :nerd:

The baby who played young Spock in Star Trek 5 grew up to be none other than Daniel Radcliffe, best known as Harry Potter.
