Stupid little time waster here, but I thought it rather lovely.

Wordle takes a site/blog's RSS feed (or you can copy/paste a block of text if you want) and turns it into a word cloud.

You can specify font/direction/colours, etc.

Here's a BETEO word cloud, and under that, one for my site (and I used my site's colours, too, for added ooh-ness)

(edit: oh - they uploaded in the opposite order. Oh well, mine is on top then, and beteo underneath that)

Yeah, everyone points that out, but that's on my site - I got the uploads mixed up, or rather, they upload in the opposite order to which you submit them :P the blue and yellow one is the beteo one.

The one talking about bottoms, bees, apples and whales and nintendo is mine.

Mimi, I don't think you have CG's real site:

I'm now really curious how it works.

Is Ubisoft in big because it's the last article or because it got on fark and stuff? If so why no Oyster Cards?

I guess it's whatevers currently on the front page.

It's very, very good isn't it? Thanks Mimi!

I don't know how it works, but word size isn't random, as if you shut the window down and paste in the same feed, the same words appear in the same sizes, and 'bottom' and the article about the 'whale' are a few posts down my page yet appear quite big.

Yeah, I guess it's just whatevers on the front page of the site/feed. And then size is the importance or frequency of the words somehow.

It's wonderful.

It's a perfect example of how, without DRM and barriers between content it can be mixed up and turned into wonderful things.

I like the idea of doing on of these every month, and putting it in my sig, or achieve headings or something.

Thanks again Mimi!

It's a very high ratio to the number of people I encounter, see, or think about each day.

More disturbingly, I also read it as that, and didn't think it out of the ordinary.

(My other thread is because I AM SLOW.)

I fed it AP2. (After writing a program that took the 'AP2 on a single page' page and repeated words the required number of times)

It is a large image.

I'm suprised to find 'sinister' tucked away at the very top edge.

Hehe, mrchris, you ARE on a go slow.

I have still been playing with wordle on and off the last few days.

I also made this little picture using only the words eskimimi, mimi, igloo and perhaps eskimimi.com.

*dives out the way of a vicious pointing by Mimi and watches as the accusation hits Mr. Chris square in the chest and sends him flying backwards off his feet, into a concrete wall and slumping onto the ground, unconscious*
