Watched the first episode. Think this is great so far.

The human in Black. Is great.

I suppose robot horses would make it easier for people to ride as well. But at £70k a day they probably can anyway.

He is. He does however remind me of Yul Brynner in the original film which is confusing.

Yup. And since they're all robots the nipples swivel independently.

SKY Atlantic show it, or its on the NG and Torrent sites along with most other TV.

Watched a little bit of Episode 1 and it looks really good, so will hoard it all then binge on it I think.

Question for those further on, is Anthony Hopkins in it a lot or was there just enough budget for him to show up in the first episode?

I thought the first episode was a bit muddled and confusing but still promising. Hopefully it will be a bit smoother from there on.

Very good summary post of various fan theories floating around about what is going on. Explains a few things I'd noticed and was confused by, and a shitton of things I hadn't noticed at all.

http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/201 ... o-is-wyatt

Although if you prefer to be surprised then don't read it. No actual spoilers (until the very end, and even then only because they have a few GIFs from previews of upcoming episodes) but if they're right then they might predict a few twists ahead.

Hole-Lee Fuck.

That finale was astonishingly good. I'd been totally and wholly consumed by the story and the cast of characters.

An amazingly accomplished series right off the bat.

It's up there, in my eyes, with The Wire, The Shield (season 2), Hannibal, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones (season 1), Mr Robot and The Walking Dead (season 2). Ok, that's a daft list of TV I've loved but I've really loved West World. A lot.

Oh yeah, it was gripping. Really enjoyed the whole series, despite some occasional pacing and casting issues.

Will be quite frustrating having to wait for 2018 for series two.

Finished Westworld. I'm certain I didn't give it enough attention when it was on, a little too much time spent on my phone. Therefore I missed lots. But it all tied together really nicely after a lag in the middle where Dolores and William gadding about seemingly endlessly and aimlessly really sapped my energy. But then things linked up rather thrillingly.

Re The Man in Black

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
I genuinely didn't realise Ed Harris was a human until I saw William put on the black hat. And it only then clicked that that was why Ed Harris wasn't affected by tender-beefcake's bullets in the first episode. I assume everyone has been watching the whole series with the knowledge that he is human, which must have changed things somewhat. I just thought he'd glitched things and was a robot on an existential mission to fuck things up.

Re the ending

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
Who are the dudes who rock up? Emancipated Red Indians? Naked robots broken free from storage?

Re Maeve

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
Is her daughter the CEO-type lady who appeared in the last few episodes? Struck me when Maeve was striding around in her new power wardrobe.

That was great. Loved the final episode.

The man in black was right. He was born in the park.
