Last night I downloaded and played the Gears of War 4 beta and I have to be honest, it was a bit pap.

I've enjoyed the series so far but number 4 doesn't seem to do anything new. You know what to expect from the gameplay and the graphics didn't seem much nicer than the third in my opinion. It is only the beta though and since the game isn't out until October, there's still time for that to change.

Also, remember in the other games when you could rev your chainsaw? It seems that you can't in this one.

Doesn't it also have emo son of Marcus or whatever? Sounds dreadful.

Yeah, it does. I think uninspired would be a good word for it.

I've enjoyed the other games in the series so in theory, I should enjoy this but I didn't. Maybe it's because there's nothing new in there?

Gears 2 was the pinnacle for me. Horde was excellent and novel at the time, and the campaign was excellent fun in co-op. The third game added four player co-op, but it was somehow less than more.

The third one also added a load of levelling up options in Horde. I never liked this as everything took ages and ages to unlock.

Sorry to interrupt this thread guys - I can see it's busy - but does anyone who knows more about computers tell me if this is any good or not? Ideally I want the recommended specs but I haven't got 4Gb of screen memory or a 4690 and I ain't gonna start screwing some in.
