Another year and another attempt to guess how much money your going to spend on gaming !

Are you going to enter the next generation with a PS4 (pro) / Xbox One X or Nintendo's Switch console ?

Are there big games you are going to grab on day 1 - or will you wait for the magic £20 mark ?

Post your estimate here and try and keep track of just how much money you are throwing away when instead you could be outside !

I've gone for £400-600 because I want to get a Switch at some point. But I'll also be selling my Wii U, 3DS, Vita and PS3, so who knows? In any case I expect it to be my lowest total since records began.

Oh I definitely will be. Was going to get it dusted off and take pics for eBay tomorrow. Black Premium Edition 32GB + gamepad + two black Wiimote+ w/nunchuks + light gun peripheral + 128GB USB flash drive for extra storage.

Six Wii U games:
Mario Kart 8
Nintendo Land
Splatoon
Super Smash Bros for Wii U
Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2013
Resident Evil: Revelations

Three Wii games:
Super Mario Galaxy
Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles
Link's Crossbow Training

£175 plus postage I'm thinking is about right. Let me know if you're interested.

Not currently. I'll have to see if I still have it. Is it a deal breaker? Boxed ones seem to go for quite a bit more.

If it helps, I can send him the box (not mint, but reasonable condition) for my Wii U - It's the same model, although the serials won't match up. But if it's just a box that's required, I don't mind posting it off as I won't be selling my Wii U any time soon.

I'll try and track mine, but I bet I forget.

Anyway, I reckon I'll do about £500.

Only significant purchase I can envisage this year is a Switch + telly combo (plus Switch games), so let's allow £800 for those, plus my 'usual' spend of around £400, as such I'll go £1200.

I'll pick the £1200-£1500 bracket, it's always good to build some contingency into these things.

I'm spending big already.

<0.69> Replica. Looks an interesting little game about trying to hack into someone's smartphone to look for terrorist clues.

I’ve gone for £400-600 as I intend to buy a switch sometime this year. I don’t get a lot of time to play games and that’s largely a combination of real life getting in the way, my age making me feel like I should be doing something more constructive/creative with my free time and me doing so.

I think I’ve broken the habit of buying games I won’t have time to play, but I still end up with more titles at the end of the year than I’ve had time to play. My sole consolation is that they’re mostly very cheap when I buy them.

I think the switch will fit in with my life quite nicely as a portable device as there are more instances of me having short periods of time to kill, than there are instances of me having 2-3 hours or more to sink into a decent SP adventure. I’ve abandoned online play as I can never schedule time to get online nowadays. I’m fine with this.

Certainly worth a go at 69p. I reached one of the endings, but I'm not sure how differently you can play it to see the other seven, but I'll be giving it another go soon.

Edit - If you do, something that's not obvious, is how to quit the game - hold down Esc and it'll eventually close the game.

Guessing 2-300 as there's a few games that I wanna get, but not too many. Will probably have to get an external harddrive at some point too.

Gone for £200-£300.

Only because I might go for a PSVR around my birthday.

I'll scope out ebay later and see what a reasonable price might be.

Assuming I've not forgotten anything, it will be:
PSVR boxed with whatever came with it
PlayStation camera - boxed
PSVR worlds

No technodicks included.

£200 + whatever it might cost to post?
But it would probably be cheaper for you to come and get it.

Last year meant new PC and PS4 hardware to the max so this year should be a cheap year, hence my low prediction.

[edit] I already added this
NBA Playgrounds for PS4.

It's okay, nearly NBA Jam but not quite. Also I can't create a player, rubbishly.
