Yeah, saw this last night. Great news.

Altered Carbon should be relatively straightforward to film, but I can see the two sequels would be a bit trickier to bring to the small screen.

I'm interested to see how they handle the re-sleeving. Whether they go for a different actor each time, or do it Quantum Leap style.

That's the big concept that they'll need to introduce right at the start and make quite clear what's going on - something that the book didn't do all that well IIRC.
My bet is they'd have to do it with different actors - he spends most of the first book in the same Sleeve anyway so there's no real problem there.
If they do a follow up they can either move on to the next book with a new actor, or do an entirely new story with the same Sleeve.

That reminds me - must buy the third Ringil book....

What? Tak does a whole narrator piece really on, then there's another exposition dump when he describes Envoy training to the client. I think it's pretty clear.

The lurid sex scenes that appear out of nowhere are a questionable decision, not least of which because they don't really fit the writing style; it's like a wailing porno-sax starts up in the background just as Kovacs is about to do it.

Tbf, the welsh Yoda does have a point. Whilst theyre still basically perfect, there was some randomly shoehorned faintly misogynistic sex in the books.
