I think it is obvious that we need custom smileys on this board:

I made this one for World of Monkey, so that things could be scored in the most sensible system that I know.

Things should be scored in bananas.

The Grim Reaper isn't dead, man. How would that work? Who would reap him, grimly?

How can Death not be dead? How can he visit the underworld and the land of the dead if he himself is not dead. How can you be the essence of death and yet still alive?

It's a bit misleading then when his name is "Death"?

So Death isn't actually dead? I'm confused.

If death never lived he can't die though. So he's not dead, yes?

The scoring system needs tweaking...

I DO have a single banana icon, but I can't find it at the moment.

No, he may have lived but now is dead and so became death, perhaps?

I think there may be something about the beginnings of Death in Paradise Lost, and how he, as a being, became powerful after the expulsion from Eden, but it is more than ten years since I read it and cannot remember.

I want you to know that.

Custom smilies are a fucking abomination, as anyone who talks to your average 18-22 year old girl on MSN knows. What a fucking mess.

ONE GIRL PER INTERNETS! THIS IS A RULE.

Although I might have met a girlfriend over MSN but it was a friend of a friend so doesn't really count

No - you misunderstand - I don't mean that each user should have their own set of smilies :|

I meant that it might be nice to upload a nicer set of smilies to BETEO, as the ones that came packaged with the software are, frankly, ugly. Maybe even just the ones off of Invision, at least they were attractive. Also, a banana (for scoring purposes, naturally...

No back-story as such. It's just, being a single 24 year old I often find myself chatting to 18-22 year old girls on MSN, and they've always invariably got some stupid custom smilies.

Like the one girl who, whenever she said the word "baby" had it replaced by a HUGE animated GIF of a baby smiling (photo, not a traditional emoticon drawing)

Oh heavens. There's a candidate for the glue factory.

I've avoided MSN, somehow, and the only other forums I've been on have been Grim...'s and a lawyers' website. Weirdly the lawyers' one had icons for goats, bananas, kittens, Tony Blair and Jimmy Hill, but no smilies.

Women you meet in pubs are rarely worth the time and the hassle.

Been married to her for almost 5 years.

To be fair, though, Craster had known her since she was 3. So he could vouch for her.

Yeah, because *that* was the problem with that.

We didn't watch that programme as it was after the one about the 45 stone woman, and we'd seen enough freakiness for one night. The trailer looked terrifying.

Here's a "Reborn baby" for the board's enjoyment:

I'm still scarred from that program a year or two ago about mums still breastfeeding their 8 year old kids.

My billions* of different sexual partners have all been girls I already knew as friends, when we were sufficiently drunk / lonely / desperate (of course, I'm usually all these things anyway). I have literally no idea how to chat someone up, and half-suspect it just involves wearing a Ben Sherman shirt, having an earring, going to Wetherspoons, and having visible ribs. The trim goes mad for that, like.

I wish I knew how to get the sexy girls to talk to me, so that I will not die a virgin.

* one; once, unsatisfyingly, in the rain, with my clothes still on etc.

I am absolutely useless at icebreaking with women, so I just don't bother. Plus of course, at the moment I have the significant disadvantage in that I have a massive gap in the front of my teeth.

Doesn't do wonders for one's confidence ;)

I also don't like the idea of meeting people in pubs, as I'm not much of a drinker and (based on Shrewsbury nightlife, at least) the sort of women you find in the pubs around here are not the sort of women that make my ideal partner.

:p

So, MSN it is! *strokes creepy beard*
