Saw a post saying that in Rugby some of the successful Reform councillors were in tears - they never wanted to win, and don't want to have to give up well-paid jobs to give time to being a councillor. They'd just been told to put their names down and "it'll be fine".

Lib Dems took Shropshire Council off the Tories here, although Reform got a few councillors.

One of the ones they did get in has already been suspended from the party though!

I really, REALLY hope that's true.

It's TRUE.

Councillor resigns from Reform after suspension

A newly elected councillor has resigned her Reform UK membership after she was suspended over a social media post.
Donna Edmunds, who represents Hodnet in Shropshire, was suspended last week after she posted on X about her plans to defect from the party.

That should really read, "who very briefly represented Hodnet in Shropshire."

Nigel Farage just did his very best Poundshop Trump impression and got all the responses he deserved – 13 totally on-point comebacks

Another one ...... er, TWO recently elected Reform councillors bite the dust.

A Reform UK councillor elected just over a week ago has resigned after failing to declare that he worked for the council. Andrew Kilburn will no longer take up his role as a Durham county councillor for Benfieldside.

Reform councillor steps down after a week. In a post on Facebook, Reform UK Newark said: "Significant recent changes to Desmond's personal circumstances have led him to conclude that he is not in a position to deliver the level of service to the people of Newark West that they deserve and require."

Shazbat!!! It's hard to keep up with the Reform shenanigans.

A newly-elected Reform UK councillor has switched to serve as an Independent because of his job.

Luke Shingler, who represents Nuneaton's Galley Common in Warwickshire, said he would be an Independent councillor for the "next 18 months" because his work meant he was unable to serve under a political organisation or party.

Another knob who was surprised anyone would actually vote for him.

Or surprised to find out that the rules *do* apply to his job.

I read somewhere earlier that 22 of the newly elected Reform councillors have already given up their positions.

TWENTY TWO.
