I mean, you don't pay me a decent wage, so I regularly have loads and loads of posts in many threads to read.

Do you all just sit at desks all day obsessively refreshing beex?

Now that mobile phone screens are so big there's plenty of space for reserved areas... it would be nice if there was a 'jump to top' and even perhaps 'jump to bottom' method that was always present and consistent across apps. I have seen on some android apps, although I forget which, a floaty button that pops up near the bottom of the screen and takes you downtown. Although it is a bit inconsistent.

We didn't vote for this. Our dearly departed forum members would be spinning in their grav...uhh.. new forums... if they know about this.

Turns out this is a feature of Samsung's own apps when I use them on my S9.

I genuinely missed it this morning, so much so it made me think about Beex not being there at all. So I've set up a (small!) monthly donation.

Has anyone else noticed old threads showing at the top of the forum?

Have there been some changes to the forum?

I thought I saw a change in how links were displayed (no underline and somehow more swishy looking) but now I suspect I've made that up entirely.

ETA: actually that was just on the mobile skin. Or has that always looked like that as well?

If you use Chrome, they appear to have rolled out an update today that changes certain things - for example, the "focus outline" when you're inside a textbox is thicker and black, and on the inside of the box now rather than a blue one on the outside of the box.

That might be it.

That's overridden by CSS, surely?

Depends if you have a reset form or not. Otherwise browsers will use their defaults if you haven’t coded any selectors explicitly.

Well that's what I mean. Beex has explicit CSS ladled over everything on both the desktop and mobile sites. I can't think of a single thing that is 'vanilla'.

Doesn't appear to have any :focus selectors on anything focusable with the keyboard.

I’m pretty sure it doesn’t have every single CSS selector overridden as there’s a fair few. Happy to be proven wrong.

You're unlikely to be proven wrong, given the amount of effort I'm willing to expend on checking.

Beex does not reset the CSS, nor does it fuck with things that help with accessibility (like focus outlines). Also I've not touched anything in weeks, so any changes are your browser's doing fo' sho'.

Chrome started doing new visual effects on our work sites today, which given they're mostly mangled-and-ignored SharePoint and sap templates makes it unlikely it's something the business did.

It started happening after a reboot, maybe you've just got an update pending, @cras and @grim...

Has the text sizes changed on mobile? Just now it seems really small on my phone, but text on other sites appears to be ‘normal’ size, and I’m not sure if I’ve done something silly that I’m unsure how to undo.

Changing text size on an iphone:

Quote:
The first way is simple, so dive right in.
Open Safari and navigate to the desired website.
When it has loaded, Safari will display with an 'aA' icon at the top left of the display. Tap this to see a menu.
You can then tap the small 'A' to reduce text size or the large 'A' to increase it.

and andriod:

Quote:
Open Chrome, tap the three-dot menu icon in the upper-right corner, and select “Settings”
Tap “Accessibility,” then adjust the “Text scaling” slider until the text is comfortable for you to read.

Thanks everyone, it was indeed my own fault (of course it was). This post of Malc’s sorted it. When I clicked the little aA icon it was set to 75%. I must have just tapped in the wrong places whilst picking up or placing down my phone. Thank you everyone. It’s all back to normal now x
