It may be me/my iPad being stupid but I can't work out how to amend the Google list thing.

We will bring the following
* Blast Off. A board game that Myoptika & his family cannot work out how to play.
* Jenga
* Playing cards
* Some Rock Band/Guitar Hero games (Myoptika can tell you which)
* A normal microphone & a USB microphone

So, shall we do a big chili for Friday night and a BBQ on Saturday? The Asda nearby is very convenient (it really if 45 minutes away, and cheap) so we can pick up what we need from there unless you're quite particular about what you want.

The quiz is coming along nicely, though there will be no TV round, just regular questions and some music.

:D

I have no idea. If not, we'll think of something.

I'll say from now that I'm pretty fussy, so if I don't eat stuff that others have cooked then please don't be offended.

I was planning on bringing (apart from the obvious like toiletries, clothes, and food):

Xbox 360 with every type of connecting cable I have
Music game disks (RB2, Beatles Rock Band, GH:WT I guess)
A USB stick with my profile and all my Rock Band DLC (memo to self: transfer all licences for offline play)
Several guitars and my Yamaha (big) drum kit (my Rock Band drums are basically fucked)
My poker set with two decks of cards (will mostly be for MafiaScum I think)
Batteries & a charger
USB hub
If I can find it: a downloaded copy of Scott Pilgrim for movie night consideration

It might not get used, particularly if the weather is good, but I'd rather have things in the car we don't need than need something I didn't bring.

That's absolutely fine. Given that I don't know what I can eat day to day with this pregnancy, there's a chance I won't be able to eat my own cooking!

That sounds good to me. Even if the weather is bad on the Saturday then we can always do BBQ food, but indoors.

Big breakfast/brunch on the Saturday? I'm happy to don my apron for this. And for assisting with the chilli and for baking cakes (om nom), but I'll leave BBQ-ing to the boys ;)

Don't forget your PS3, Doctor Glyndwr ;)

//edit: Also, I am horrifically fussy with food too so I echo Malc's sentiments. Also also, I'm absolutely shit at cooking so keep me away from the BBQ unless you all want food poisoning :P

I'll bring a travel pack of spices, seasonings, and the like - I have er....everything....and there's no point buying pots of stuff just for this weekend.

@craster: We should have a spice-off, I have some fairly obscure ones (fenugreek springs to mind).

So,

my train gets into Derby at about 15:40, any one else going to be there that sort of time?

On the Friday?

We're certainly not going to be there that early, unfortunately.

We'll be at the house by then (hopefully Curio & co will be there already to let us in).

Our plan to get from Derby city centre to the house is to get a local bus service, the Arriva number 38, which drops us off about half a mile away, then either walk to the house or see if anyone already at the house is available to pick us up.

I would also hope to be there by then.

Although I will need things such as address.

If you google the house name it comes up with an address. Postcode is DE73 7FZ.

Indeed, and tis in the first post.

I can search up a longer address if needed, but whack that into the satnav and you'll be fine.

I'll go dig up the specific directions about which little trail you need to go up, as it gets a mite confusing once you get off the main road.

When coming from Derby you turn right into a gated lane just before the flyover. If you go over the flyover, you have gone too far.

Glad the Doc is bringing drums, we were getting low on car space!

Mogwai, do we need to bring teatowels?

Yes, 4-5 minutes... not 45 minutes. That would be significantly less convenient.

The plan is now for the car containing the Apple Pies and me/wife to arrive at approx 1pm.

So if anyone is planning on getting there before 1pm on the Friday, please pipe up now.

Never mind on holiday; I had this problem at home. I solved it by buying another fridge.

According to QI the other night, you can fetch about £15,000 for a kidney.

Just throwing that out there...

Don't worry. It's an Asda in the midlands. Us walking in the door will raise the average level of classiness so much it'll instantly morph into a Waitrose.

In an email Mogwai sent to me she said there's a utility room or something near the kitchen which is freezing and perfect for storing drinks in :)

Mmm - surely that's just specifying that we'll get the ice from the Asda that's nearby, rather than getting it from some other generic Asda?
