A month and a half old (the photo, not the child), but this amused me. I can picture her thinking, "THERE IS NO SPOON!".

I think she's more likely to be thinking "There's no food on my fucking spoon. Stop dicking around with your camera and be useful, idiot".

I fail to understand why the transformer on latptop power supplies cannot, at the same time as being used t powering the laptop, charge a secondary battery.

I guess the charging circuit is inside the laptop. Also the power supply would need to be a bit bigger and anyway the majority of laptop users just have one battery and plug in whenever they can.

I'm not even sure if this laptop has a removable battery or not.

Maybe I should devote my spare brain processing power to more critical thinking.

1st day seemed to go ok. Big open-plan office and my monitor is a bit too obvious for BeeX usage, but then it looks like I'm going to be pretty busy over the next few weeks anyhow.

This morning, I went to Bradford and spent £10 on a USB wireless thingy which seems to work. Which is a relief.

I remember doing the Otley run when I lived in Leeds... I think it is about 13 pubs my recollection is a little hazy..

The Otley run isn't actually in Otley. It's a run of pubs on Otley Road, a couple of miles down the hill from Otley.

All the way into the city centre as I recall, but I lived near the student union so just started there and moved inwards rather than do the full thing.

Anyone seen Tangled? It's absolutely brilliant. The kids really enjoy it, and First Born suggested we make Rapunzel's tower out of Lego. So, this is what First Born and I did a couple of days ago:

Went to the pub quiz with MrsA. We got 29. Winner got 38, and but their team was more than two. The team next to us googled everything and got 27. Losers. And I drank enough beer over two weeks to garner me a free pint. That's right, drink 5, get one free.

I know, but I got the leaked copy massively in advance of them actually releasing the bastard thing, which at least gave me two different versions of the songs, I s'pose.

She's been completely publicity shy for years now. Not like a recluse, but doing very little obvious. Ho hum.

I remember seeing her live in 1996 at a mostly empty Student Union in Manchester. She was so, so lovely.

I learnt from the quiz that the answer to "Who was in a Maroon 5 music video?" wasn't "Merideth Kercher". in my defence, it was in the "Topical" round.

Brilliant films. The kids' favourite is the third one. There's something indescribably awesome about a 3 year old kid stripping down to his pants, putting on an eye patch and shouting "the name's Buck! Short for Buckminster!" and chasing round the house like a loon.

If you start to Google 'List of'.. as I just did, the first autosuggestion is 'list of disney films', which was handy. Lion King is probably in my top then, but probably because I've only seen about 10 Disney films.
