Go into the arrivals lounge and get some bacon and eggs, a good shower and a massage, of course.

I actually think all the Terminals at Heathrow are brilliant. Calgary is ridiculous. I'm always of the opinion that you go through security ASAP, and Heathrow is great because everything is sensibly on the other side. At Calgary, there is nothing on the far side of security.

I hate this. Airports should have signs, or at least the person on security should be nice enough to tell you that there's nothing but a toilet (if you're lucky) for company once you're past that point.

>:( Taxi Bus driver and angry bint who hates her job who pick the boy up in the morning are incapable of understanding that it is not easy to hear a bus beep inside a house through double glazing, even if you are in a room with a window to the road. I go downstairs to get his coat and think "is that an engine?" look outside and they are there about to set off without him. Again

The other bus people however inconsistent they were with timing actually gave a shit and the woman would come down and knock on the door. This new lazy bitch won't do that. I think it's because we are the last house on the run and it's slightly out of the way so they are trying to get us taken off it.

I am calling his school later on and demanding to speak to someone. This bitch may see me as some slight irritant but I have spent the last 6 years fighting local authorities, doctors, transport departments and the department of education to the point where people hear "hello this is XX's mum" and the person on the other end instantly gives in.

I'm nice as pie in RL but when it comes to my kids I don't give a flying fuck if you think I'm a hell bitch, I'm winning . My greatest victory was over our education people who wanted to put the Boy into an autistic unit attached to the side of a school, he is now in the best mixed special school in the country.

Rule #1 Do Not Fuck with my boy. This bitch is going down
>:( >:( >:(

edit: it should be noted that these people turn up from 8:20am to 8:45am and the only way for me to guarantee hearing them is if I stand in the hallway with my front door open. 25 mins standing about like a twat Vs walking down some steps? I think not bitch.

As a compromise, couldn't you ask the woman to dial your number and let the phone ring for a couple of times, then hang up. Free for her to do, she gets to stay sat down, you know when the bus is there.

ah now *twitch* this is a whole new issue. *twitch*

When we had the snow this company refused to go anywhere but main roads, the roads to our house had been cleared (actually what happened was the snow plough took one look at was was below our turn off went "fuck that" and then used our road to turn round in thus making it clear). They still make me stand for an hour + in the mornings and afternoons waiting for them in the snow. The mobile question was raised then ("why can't you call me when you are near where we meet?"), mean bus woman turned round and said that her daughter always had her mobile in the mornings. I discovered later that the reason for this is that if they miss a pick up and their boss is able to contact them before 9am then they have to turn round and pick him up.

Another golden moment in her illustrious career of looking miserable was when he threw up on the bus on the way to school after they braked hard. They had gone about 500 yards from the house. Logic would dictate that you reverse and drop him off. Oh no not these people, they took him to school who promptly rang me to say come pick him up (£15 in taxi fares), now because they didn't tell the school about the breaking we got hit with the no school if he's been ill for 48 hours policy on top of that.

Good to know! I'm not sure how I'd live without 24 hour access to Tesco - you can't beat late night shopping to avoid the mouthbreathers.

Rob Zombie has cancelled his upcoming gig in Dublin.

I am totally gutted about this. I missed out when he was in Manchester a few months back. I saw him the last time he toured here, which is going on for over a decade, and the gig was fucked over by the support band (Monster Magnet). So I was hoping to see the full stage show and go a bit mental to "More Human Than Human".

Had the ticket for five months - and even coming back to Manchester didn't stop me buying flights back to Dublin just for this gig.

Last night of the tour and it seems MM and RZ did Not Get On. So MM played well over time, loads of long solos and even brought someone up on stage for 10 minutes of the least erotic striptease and S&M routine I've ever seen. They must have done an hour plus. Felt like double that.

It was a Sunday night, so there was an earlier curfew. The crowd were Not Happy, to say the least.

That doesn't help. Not at all. In fact, in the history of not helping, that it right up there with the very best of them. There will be studies. Professor Brian Cox is thinking of giving lectures in how that not helps. In the annals of Not Helping, they are going to be singing songs about it.

I was at the last ever stone roses gig. It Fucking sucked and black grape (supporting act) didn't even cocking turn up.

Essentially we all paid £X to stand about in the snow for two hours past gate opening time, walk in the arena, wait in the dark for another two hours and then see 20 mins of half of the stone roses (mani was a no show as well) making fuck all effort, in his defence John Squire attempted to get it going with a 10 min guitar solo into which he poured his very soul, but Brown walked off immediately after the song ended leaving him stood there like a twonk.

I was at Reading Festival for their gig after Squire had left as well (I think). It was basically Ian Brown droning on and on atonally with some session musicians. People were streaming away from the stage. It was hilarious.

Mine was at Sheffield Arena, probably the week before reading. I would imagine there was quite the riot but the second it ended a security guard bombed over and pretty much grabbed me and my mate (another teenage girl) and bundled us out of the arena and down to where my mum was parked, which was quite sweet looking back.

I went to one he was supporting too. He got booed off stage rather rapidly. Well, I say booed, they turned off the amplification after he refused to go and had a minor argument with the crowd, which kinda gave the message across.

His inability to sing is staggering.

Yeah, Jesus Christ, what the fuck is it about Ian Brown? Can't really sing, did a good first album and a quality track or two for Uncle, everything else knob and terrible, terrible live. A number of indie people in the circles I revolve in still think he's the second coming.

...

Oh. Er, pun actually not intended, honest.

Warhead Wacky Fact No. 1
I once helped Ian Brown pick up a second hand fridge for his flat.

Warhead Wacky Fact No. 2
John Squire cleaned my kitchen. (Well, he made it dirty, so he was obliged to.)

Warhead Wacky Fact No. 3
Warhead and family got free tickets to the last Roses gig in Manchester, and entry to the after-show party.

Misc Warhead Fact.
I never liked the Stone Roses. Always thought they were WAYYYyyyy over rated.

The boy's taxi turned up, I sent the girl up to say I was just putting his shoes on, I walk out of the door with the boy and they pulled off without him. They didn't even wait a minute for the disabled child to put on his shoes. Luckily I had witnesses as to what just happened. Called school and said I don't want them picking him up again and I want another taxi right now.

I'm fucking livid.

Have spoken to people and his taxi firm turned round and said they waited for 15 mins. I have witnesses to say they did not. He's at school now as transport department sent out a separate taxi. Amusing thing is they are more in the shit because I mentioned that the escort sits in the front. This isn't my word vs theirs like with the leaving without him trouble, this is major "THEY DO WHAT!!" levels of trouble.

My Dad has been ill for the last week and a half. So ill that he's been staying in bed all day, not even getting up for his mid-morning coffee or to go to the pub in the evenings.

If you know my Dad, that last bit especially means there's something seriously wrong.

Except, like the stubborn bugger that he is, he never lets us call a doctor and he won't go and see one himself. He always says if he gets a doctor they'll just send him to hospital where they'll put tubes up him and stuff, and he doesn't like it. He makes us promise not to call one, and he'll let us know when he thinks the time is right to call one.

Well, that time was last night. He asked my brother to call him a doctor, doctor got there at around 2am and examined him. Ambulance came at around 4am to take him to hospital apparently, where he's now on a saline drip to rehydrate him (he'd not really ate or drunk since he took ill) and they suspect he has pneumonia.

:(

So, he's waiting to be moved to a ward. Given my Dad's general health, combined with nearly 55 years of smoking and drinking, and his reluctance to get a doctor in right at the start of all this, I'm honestly wondering whether he's going to come out.

Wishing him all the best care and attention.
