I sell loads of stuff. Before I joined the Companions, I'd store stuff in a chest or whatever in a cleared dungeon. It never went missing, had to do a few trips backwards and forwards after I'd bought my house though.

That's what I thought, the first couple were and location plays a big part of how easy it is. Those frost dragons are pathetic, I basically just stood in front of one and shot it in the face until it was dead. Cost me minimal health, I didn't even try avoiding it.

Then I found a blood dragon, out in the open. And ran away. Or tried, until it killed me within 6 seconds. What a cunt he was.

Really? For me it's been the other way around. Blood Dragons as standard - fairly easy to despatch, but the one time I encountered a Frost Dragon he was a right old pain in the arse to get rid of.

I encountered my first "open world" dragon the other night. He was a frost dragon. He killed me. My last checkpoint was miles away because I was exploring and hadn't entered any towns or anything. I called it a night.

Still, I'm properly enjoying this. Just taking things slowly - mainly because I'm so busy with work. Doing the odd mission and a bit of exploring when I get an hour or two spare. I have a feeling the combat and the samey dungeons would get tiresome pretty quickly if I played it for long sessions, but it's brilliant for an hour or two at a time.

I got into a fight with a blood dragon and 3 snow bears and first time it didn't end well. Then I hired maricio conjured a flame thing and just fired arrows at the dragon. Seemed to work pretty easily. Haven't found the dragons too taxing yet, but some of the bosses in the dungeons are rather difficult. I've had to leave a couple as I kept dying.

So Trolls can launch you 200ft in the air?

Thought it was a glitch, but it happened twice.

Almost finished the College of Winterfell's quest line. It's been quite good so far. I am now sporting exquisite dwarvern boots. Which will soon be enchanted.

I think I've done the thieves questline now since Im now the Guild master.
But with the mages one Im scared to go into labarinthyan (or however you spell it). The dungeons are scary.

Have you done all the jobs to 'restore the guild'?

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
Basically 5 odd-jobs in each main city, then a big job in each main city

That's the point when the thieves' guild is 'done'.

You can just cancel them straightaway with no penalty. Cancel any Riften ones, too.

You're not the Guild Master until they're done. That's why everyone still keeps saying "Sooo. You're Brynjolf's new protégé" and you're like "No, I'm your boss, fuckhead".

Nah. You can clank your way around them pretty easily. They're well worth doing, best quest series in the game in my view.

I'm getting fairly good at picking locks, but haven't done any pick pocketing as yet. I might have a go today.

Dark Elf. A bit disappointed that Bethesda's solution to the lumpy characters in Oblivion was to give us a handful of preset faces, most of which are excruciatingly ugly, and get rid of the RGB sliders for stuff like skin and hair color too.

Dark Elf also, because I wanted to go for magic and stealth. Having since decided that magic is poop, I regret it.

Someone sent some hired thugs after me, and a dragon appeared at the same time. Which was an interesting fight.

I'm up to level 18 and a half now, with an enchanting skill of 50, and smithing of 43. I've made a full set of dwarvern armour with a health bonus on the armour and magika bonuses on the hat and gauntlets. The boots have a carry more stuff bonus. My orc axe does soul trap, as does my dwarvern sword.

You should always pick a female!

Unless you prefer looking at the back of men for 100+ hours of gaming.

...hmm that's a point, since playing Dark Souls I now prefer to play this looking at my character rather than 1st person perspective.

Dark Souls.

In Oblivion and Fallout 3 the running animation is so shit that it takes me out of the immersion. I always use first-person.

I should switch to first person really, there's no advantage seeing enemies attack from the back or sides early as the combat is so wooly.

I'm a Redguard woman. As I moaned about on Twitter, it was very confusing when I ran across those men very early on who are hunting for a mysterious Redguard woman... I only narrowly avoided panicking and killing them to avoid detection.

Well I'm done with this. After 100 hours and 8 minutes I've finished the main quest. That's a lot of my life since the 11th of November, right there. Definitely time to stop.
