Just checked, £114 double room two nights at Premier Inn
£124.50 for the Ibis.

The IBIS doesn't understand that the day starts with bacon.

The IBIS doesn't understand that the day starts with bacon.

The Wetherspoons 50 yards away definitely understands this concept.

But yoiks, that Premier Inn does look very cheap, all things considered.

People who can crawl out of bed early enough should take in to consideration stopping for the Premier Inn breakfast. It's awesomely brilliant.

The other Premier Inn is only about 100 yards away, the Central one.

For the record, the list of people who have spoken to me in person about or PMed about staying at my place is: Myp, Ange, Dimrill. There's room for more, but just posting speculatively about the vague notion in this thread gets you nothing.

I think there will be two meals going on, the 'expensive' one and the one for people on normal wages in a totally different place (not McDs). :P

The third, of course, will be all the biscuits I can fit into my jacket.

Hm. Maybe I shouldn't do the expensive meal actually, I'm already going to London/Bruges with WotR at the start of the month, and I've got to find £1200 to take tenancy on the house this month. £65 sounds a lot more now than it did before.

Well I'm sure that we can arrange something a little less extravagant. We could do with having a rough idea as to what's happening on the Saturday night though. If the plan is to go for a curry then, we can arrange something different* for the Friday?

*Not biscuits.

I think we (Ange, Albin0, me) are going to Genghis Khan's for a meal on the Friday. Anyone who wants to mong about with us (geddit?) is more than welcome.

Also, anyone who wants to stay at Albin0's house, can you please PM either him or me to confirm (also to get directions in case you're turning up there first with ice cream - hint hint). Like it says in the first post, people turning up expecting a place to sleep without asking first will be sent packing. ;)

Also, have we decided which pub(s) we're going to start out at before we go to FAB?

I am up in the air about coming on the Friday as I may be in the middle of moving house.
I think it will be fairer to say "no" for now.

I'll be around friday, and refuse to pay stupid amounts for a meal, so this sounds better. So long as it doesn't cost stupid amounts.

Oh, and considering I've booked the hotel, you can move me to the certainties in the first post.

I'd come up on Friday, but it would mean my bottom would need to poo somewhere that wasn't my house and it'd make me sad.

Pm sent and also, we (markg and moi) will be travelling down on Saturday.

Please save any remnants from either Friday night restaurant for my consumption on arrival.

Dimrill, I can hold you over a grid if it helps.

Now I've seen this you can ignore the PM I just sent you.

Also, can I add that please ask ME and not myp, because otherwise the left hand won't know what the right hand is doing! We're already dangerously close to capacity because my place is not large.

If space is an issue let me know and I'll book in a hotel. Or use Dimrill as a Tauntaun.

Yeah. I didn't want a place and Alb3423s, as I didn't want to sleep with Dimrill.

So I... err... booked a double room. By accident. Or possibly as they'd run out of singles.

I'll do it closer to the time. I'm hotelling, so I only need directions and times 118118's going to be around, and 2 months early is a bit much for such details.

My rent-a-house-in-Sale plans are proceeding apace, for last minute inconvenient crashage purposes*. I should check if there's anything else I can do to speed it up, actually, after faxing the application and employer reference yesterday.
