I wouldn't use a distress flare dude, they're a bit like a firework and not really an indoor one. You can buy smoke tablets from any plumbers merhcants, they use them to test chimneys and whatnot.

Not the magnesium ones, the red or blue smoke ones. besides, how dangerous can it be?

Also, put the kettle on, because you'll possibly be getting visits from the police anti-terrorism unit and then the fire brigade fairly swiftly after neighbours see copious quantities of red smoke issuing from your bathroom window.

Just heard that in our 'shiny new office' the only fire exit is the main staircase. If that's blocked, we're supposed to stay up on the second floor: the doors will hold for thirty minutes. I think I'll take a rope in tomorrow and store it under my desk, else become a participant in a dire rescue movie.

Some people have had trouble with cheaper cards though so the advice is to use Transcend or Sandisk top end cards only. They've basically got to be capable of sustaining 35 meg with no dropping below. The special shooting modes (for slow mo) can go as high as 70 meg so obviously nobody has yet found a card that can sustain that other than the official Sony.

The short-lived Saturday morning children's show UP2U was a flop, and is chiefly remembered retrospectively for a motorcycle stunt that went wrong, which later resulted in an internet rumour that Turner had died. Turner was to stand forward of a truck, the motorcycle would do its stunts, and finally pyrotechnics would be ignited. Unfortunately there was a communications breakdown; at the last minute it was decided that Anthea would sit on the back of the truck, she would also take her cue from somebody behind the camera which, unknowingly to the camera crew, became the same cue used to ignite the pyrotechnics. Turner suffered burns and temporary hearing loss, which led to her successful lawsuit against the BBC. The video of the accident can be seen on various web sites.[4]

I'm watching a documentary about legal drugs and the music selection is reminding me of a programme about the North Sea oil rigs I tried to watch last night which must have had at least a hundred songs throughout its entirety, very few of which seemed to fit the situation or add anything to the programme at all. It was very jarring.
