I thought it would be nice for the family to go to the cinema today to see the Incredibles 2.

2 adult tickets and 2 childrens tickets... £35.10!

Good grief!

Where you seeing it? Vue have really cheap tickets at the moment (although not as cheap on Bank Holiday Monday), I think it's about £5 per person regardless of age.

No family tickets?
It's alright... Tesco Clubcard to the rescue!

It's now costing me nothing (apart from the hundreds of pounds I've already spent on shopping)

I've had the Tesco Premium Credit for just over a year now, it has a charge of £150 a year, but I've found that I've had this back so to speak as my vouchers have increased by this amount.

I also got a £50 voucher for signing up and a further £50 worth of Clubcard points last month as I spent £5000 at Tesco in the first year. Don't think this deal is available for new sign-ups though

It gives you 2X points for every £1 spent at Tesco and 1 point for every £4 spent elsewhere

Currently, have £400 in vouchers with another £70 collected so far.

We are thinking of blowing at lot at Denby on new china for the kitchen as they are a 3-1 value.

Another tip I found to stop them expiring, I changed almost all of them for £100 vouchers to use against holiday home bookings. Then found you could only use one voucher per booking, so I called Tesco and they refunded them all and now they all have expiry dates well intro 2020.
Wait what. £150/yr service fee for a reward card? Jaysus. I’ve had the same card for 15 years and never paid a penny for it.
what is the 'baby shark, doo doo doo' ... I see a few references to it
I have no idea apart from it's a song our daughter learned at nursery.

Baby shark can get fucking extinct.

I've had one for about 5 years and all I ever get is a few tokens through the post for discounts on tampons or other shit that I never buy. Then again, I rarely shop at Tesco, only really when I'm working away from home and buy stuff for my meals. The Nectar card was always better value as I got more when i shopped at Sainsbury's if I was that was the nearest supermarket to where I was staying.
I suspect asfish has the tesco credit card, which is a different beast to the tesco reward card.

Yes sorry its a credit card and also acts as a club card, in that I can swipe it to release a self-scan gun at the supermarket

£150 fee has so far been converted into Clubcard due to the enhanced points you get for spending on the card

So makes it worth it as I use the points for Lego land and pizza express a fair bit over the year.

Also, you would need to spend £15,000 in Tesco to get £150 worth of points

Mine is the Tesco finest credit card. Although points are technically free money we end up going to places to eat that we wouldn’t otherwise do just to use the points.
Why do people insist on putting their rear fog lights on when someone is already behind them? It sends me into a proper irrational rage. So, so annoying.
I need to send a file that's nearly 5gb online... I normally use WeTransfer but the limit on that is 2gb unless I pay and paying is for fools.

Has anyone used a site that could do this for me? I've seen one, but I thought I'd ask here in case there's something better or simpler.

**Edit** Actually, ignore me. Dropbox can do it. I'll use that.

Is it foggy?

Yes but when you're in an already existing queue of traffic, flicking your rear fogs on is fucking stupid.

Some woman the other week did it too, when we were stopped due to a crash further u the road I got out and asked her to turn the bloody things off. Fucking sat there for 5 mins with her stupid big car with its stupid fog lights at fucking eye level.
I suspect that sometimes it's people who say, 'What does this button do?' when pressing it. Similar to people who don't know why their rear wiper is always wiping, even though it's not rained for days.
A woman entered a tube car I was in with a rather ornate chair. She placed the chair on the floor but didn't sit on it. Disappointed.

France.
Didn't it used to have buildings and shit?
Does anyone else get fucking obsessed over a couple of songs at any one time?
I don't listen to music much. The radio in the car is about all these days.

Christ yes.

Right now it's Fist Pump Jump Jump (both good and fucking awful) and The Duck Song (Waddle! Waddle!).
At the moment I'm randomly obsessed with "212" by Azaelia Banks and "Fortune Faded" by RHCP.

I'm glad I'm not the only one.
Christ, me too. I’ve got a thing for repetitive sad sounding songs at the minute. Just endlessly looping a 90 second or less song.

I tend to get obsessed by an album at a time. Recently it's been Korn Issues, Mr Robot volume 3 and Gunship by Gunship.

The latter is particularly awesome and so are all the videos on YouTube.
Issues is very good.
I've done a lot of catching up with Korn via Amazon prime music and there isn't really a lot to argue with in the 7 or so albums I got "for free".

I mean, if you ignore the homophobia.
Oh, yes.

Right now:
Split Lip Rayfield - Kiss Of Death
Kniles - Modify
The Magpie Salute - Omission
Christine and the Queens - Girlfriend
Ride - Cali
Rae Morris - Do It

Well, yeah. I mean the early albums are a lot of him retelling the homophobia he experienced as a child, but I guess the 90s was definitely a time when the f-word was thrown around a lot more liberally than today. :(

I'm a confused by this and, even more so, Bik's comment. How is it homophobic for a gay man to recount his own stories of suffering homophobia?
If he agrees with them?

:S

They were separate comments that I didn't separate very well. Jonathan Davies isn't gay, but suffered homophobic abuse as a child and was explored in Korn's early albums. But then in later albums there is use of homophobic slurs used by him and guest artists that seemed prevalent mainly in the hip hop scene in the 90s and are utterly unnecessary.

Huh. I was totally convinced that he was, but I see now you're totally right.
For ages now we've lived with a shitty wifi right in the spot where we tend to be in the evening. Kept meaning to do something about it and did try shuffling the router about upstairs but having almost no effect so I was almost ready to drop a load of money on a set of those google mesh router things. Anyway I already have a cat5 cable that runs to my PS4 and a growing collection of old routers. Ten minutes work following this guide: http://unixetc.co.uk/2014/03/04/reuse-a ... ess-point/ it's all sorted!
It's not as good as mesh though.

Mine is better now I've upgraded to 5 velops, and it turns out the Xbox one X being shit on it is because of shitty WiFi drivers that should have been fixed by this month's update.

If I were buying new I'd get the bt one though - it doesn't cover add much ground but I could put one in nearly every room for the same amount I've spent on velop!

A mate has it and 4 of them are just flawless at handover around his sizeable floor plan bungalow and latency is low. It's apples to oranges because like I say - modern bungalow, not Hodge podge extended sandstone with shitty wiring. And all the white goods smack in the middle.
I can also heartily recommend Google WiFi. It works well and the app to drive it all from your phone is really, really nice.

No, it's miles better because it cost absolutely fuck all instead of £200+ quid. What practical difference would the mesh thing make, though?
Seamless handover between nodes. I guess if you don't move much it's fine, but try walking around the house on a Skype call or watching a poorly-buffered video or something with multiple access points.

Oh, and the obvious thing of not having to fuck about joining multiple networks.
BikNorton wrote:

Or watching your device hanging on to a weak signal from the far-away router and stubbornly refusing to hand over to a much stronger signal from the router you're looking at.
Yeah I don't tend to wander around the house watching videos, it's just this one spot where the wifi was always iffy. I set the name and password to be the same as the main router so it just swaps over, didn't need to do actually anything on the devices.
