It's "bone in her greasy box", fool.

I was running the "cock" angle myself.

5. Boy invites girl for coffee
6. Girl accepts

It's an oft-told tale.

Also, turns out Mr. Sanders is the name of her best friend, and she was responding to him and not using it as a codeword for me. He asked her how the date went and she replied to say "It was very nice thank you Mr. Sanders".

This is an awesome tale. You messaged an entirely random person on facebook and translated that into a real date? Amazing.

20-30 times to the same girl or 20-30 girls? ;)

Not an entirely random person, she printed some T-shirts for my brother to wear on his charity unicycle ride and had commented on his video.

I used the "do I know you from somewhere? You look familiar" opening gambit ;)

Oh, and the first message I sent her was on Sunday afternoon, so that's from random message to date in 48 hours.

If only I could have this sort of success with women in actual social situations :P

That's good work Gaz.

Worth noting that I spoke to both my current and ex-gf via email a fair amount before actual dateness occured. I'm sure that's not a reflection on me and my social depravity.

That was certainly true of the ex, and she was a psychotic manic-depressive to boot. I'm sure I've mentioned it before but she ended up getting arrested when she wouldn't leave me the fuck alone. :hat:

So Gazchap - the question on everyone's mind is: "So is she a pirate or a zombie?"

I'm sure this'll make me sound like a sad case, but I prefer this "method" of getting to know someone initially, it's less awkward and you know they have an interest in what you're saying. I always do try and get things moving into the "real world" sooner rather than later though.

Otherwise the blades on my knives get dulled from under-use :(

Neither, thank fuck. There was also a worrying moment where I thought she might be a furry, but she isn't one of those either. Phew.

There's a "Zmbies vs ninjas vs kittens vs pirates" "game" (and I use the word loosely) on Facebook. I have turned down 600 million requests to play it.

Makes sense to me. Certainly if it appears you don't have anything in common its very easy to stop emailing. Better than lurching up to the first person you see in a bar, randomly, and trying to initiate random, embarassing conversation.

My sister met her boyfriend on the internet through some kind of social networking site - or maybe a chat room - I don't know.

They've bought a house and are hoping to get married soon and have four* children

(*a detail which they are strangely specific about - my sister always wanted two, but her boyfriend has convinced her that four is the magic number.)

Anyway, it seems that it can work in some circumstances, it's not something I'd like to do, though.

I met my ex-wife on an Internet chat room way back in 2001 and we were together for four and a half years (2 as husband and wife).

Then she cheated on me ;)

Oh well. I've never been one for the whole "once bitten, twice shy" thing ;)

Yeah, but any woman might cheat on you, no matter how you bet, it's no reason to be shy of the idea. Good on you, I hope that you enjoy many more dates, Mr. Sanders.

Not all internet met people are horrible rapists.
I once met a guy off the net, about a week later I met up with him in town, and went to his house in a far off town I'd never been to before.
NOT clever, I know.
But let's just say I left with a smile on my face.

Wayne's World is simply one of the greatest films of all time. To not like it means you must have a serious brain malfunction.

But it really is a bit of a boys film, I think. It isn't the character of Wayne that bothers me, it's the blonde one - his acting just gets really tedious after about 10 minutes.
