I had a client ask me last month if I would drive to mid Wales to shoot Sian Lloyd for a feature. It was one picture, which would have taken an hour, tops. Bookended by five or six hours of driving in either direction - largely due to the last 90 odd miles being all A,B and country roads. Can't remember the mileage but I think, according to Google it would be close to 600 round trip. Fuel alone would have eaten close to half the £300 they wanted to pay all in. They were politely told to fuck off.

Good news everybody... Mrs Kov has played buzz on a PS3 and loved it.

Is it available on a 360, if yes....

Where is the bestest place to get one and what else will i need (wireless, live etc)

As has been mentioned Scene it is the Xbox equivalent (although doesnt have the same range of subjects n stuff) , most games come with 4 large 'buzz' like controllers and i'm sure Tesco has them on offer at the moment (something like £22 or so for a game plus the controllers) , Lewie or Mr Russ would be your best bet to find em cheaper

** Edit from Mr Russ's site **

The original version (Lights Camera Action) £11.95 from Zavvi online

http://www.bargaincomparison.com/gamepr ... B000TTF4SA

The follow up (Box office smash) £14.99 from Amazon

http://www.bargaincomparison.com/gamepr ... B001CSR6ZQ

Both come with 4 controllers

cheers, now to find an X-box

You could, of course, have eight hours of work to do when you get there, rather than just a brief lecture then home.

Its a bit hit and miss at times - there are a few threads discussing it already

The original when it first came out

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3278&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=dollhouse

And its mentioned a few times in the general purpose US thread

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2098&p=330732&hilit=dollhouse#p330732

Season 1 had quite a slow start but picked up well and the last 3 or 4 are really good with a final ep which (without spoiling things) takes it in a totally different direction.
Season 2 so far has gone back to the same type of stuff as early season 1 but i did really enjoy the last ep (number 4 so far).

Its been getting quite poor viewing figures in the US so is unlikely to continue beyond season 2 (although i guess they could continue in comics or movies which would both be typical for Joss stuff)

Ta, I'll have a read when I finish for the day :)

We never got any guisers this year (other than my wee cousins who just go round their family & neighbours) kinda disappointed :( though it does mean more tablet for me.

You could, indeed, but I suspect madness lies that way.

I used to work 50 miles from home, and had no transport. Two hours each way using public transport for an eight-hour shift, and you soon get very fed up with the world. Sixty hours of work* for forty hours of pay isn't nice, especially when travel costs came from your own pocket and took up a quarter of your weekly wage.

A year of that, and you wouldn't be surprised at how depressed I got.

*I've always counted travel time as work time. It's certainly not time to myself.

Still, they are "in date" until next summer so no rush I guess.

The county borough was formed on 1 April 1996, by the merger of the former Mid Glamorgan districts of Rhondda, Cynon Valley and Taff-Ely (with the exceptions of Creigiau and Pentyrch, which were added to Cardiff). Its name reflects all these, and thus also the rivers Cynon, Rhondda and Taff.
