I've now got one which is a small square clear plastic end to small square clear plastic end.
I am not a network engineer.

It's to plug the ADSL socet of a router into a faceplate on a wall. I'm being hand delivered some sort of filter in case the faceplate isn't there. Or something.

That article, however, is absolute pish. Anyone who with a straight face contends that Gladiator is "is an allegory about George W Bush's candidacy for president" is a thundercunt of the first water. It's like reading a lefty sixth former's media studies essay.

Oh yeah, I completely agree with the article being bobbins. It doesn't even have a decent arguement looking into why Miller is such a terrible hack and a massive cock. The trouble is, despite the dodginess, 300 is still kinda fun. True Lies was fun. Gladiator was fun. Even Avatar was fun. If these films WEREN'T fun and well-made there wouldn't be a problem as no one would see them. It's ironic that the article in question is as badly researched as Miller's outburst.

I've never really bought into these any of these ideas about what popular films as allegory (except for ones where the director has at some point declared that as his intention, obviously). They only seem to emerge a long time after the fact. I don't remember anyone at the time saying that Gladiator was about George Bush.

Were people really watching sci-fi films in the 50s and 60s because they were actually terrified of communists? Were they fuck. It was the space age and those sorts of themes captured the public imagination. Then thirty years later some stupid hack came up with a theory and it gets unquestioningly repeated ever since. Even despite the fact that really only a couple of the popular films from the time fit the theory in any way.

When you come up again, there's a couple more nice places we've found around here, and up the railway, too. We could go to the North Bar in Leeds, as that's pretty awesome, or go to Otley or Ilkley and do Yorkshire Real Ale pubs. It'll be super fun.

Droplets on the chimney breast will probably be condensation. Warm damp air in room meets cold air in flue.

Yeah, I was surprised too. I'd never before seen a film so bad that it made me angry, so it was a new experience. I really wanted to walk out (which would have been another first), but wanted to instead tough it out so I cold at least say I'd seen the whole thing in case anyone challenged me. That's right - while I was watching it, I was doing so in case people asked me why I thought it was the worst film ever. I honestly don't think will ever see another Gerard Butler or Zack Snyder film. I can't bring myself to do it. I know you enjoy some actioners that I don't, like the Expendables, but this is on another level. That's just a crap film, but this is actual hatred. Like, I love cinema, so I don't know how cinema could repay me in this way.
