I'm still up but I've fallen into the YouTube trap. I started on wrestling videos and am currently watching Jeremy Kyle clips.. I think it's way past my bed time.

I'm still up but I don't want to waste time gobshiteing with you lot. Plus, I was watching telly downstairs. Then finishing Treasure Island. Another 'classic' novel off my list. The Kindle is awesome.

What time is it?

Cunt.

In fact, the Humax box just turned itself off in protest, apparently. That's going to piss the remote off.

Weirdos. I was tucked up at 11. I think I have the same illness that the wife and child have but I have to be strong and not let them know.

Baby slept in pretty well today. I didn't have to get up until 8am, and she only woke twice in the night (which I lovingly let the wife deal with).

Now if only I can get my FUCKING WATER SUPPLY WORKING!

I met Judge Jules on the day that Kiss FM went from pirate to legal. They launched and had their promotional stuff for the papers done at my sixth form, and they wanted pictures of tha yoof enjoying their tunes. But the only place big enough was the gym, and that's where my first year PE lesson was. So instead of a spotty 17 year old for the pictures, they chose me, and I was 11.

I had to lift up one side of Judge Jules' head phones and pretend to be shouting in his ear while he was DJing for the photos. I got loads of stuff and my best friend didn't speak to me for a week because she was jealous.

Hi dudes, thanks for the birthday messages...

It was a great day. I 'worked from home' on Skyrim, that is awsome.

I got a few Green and black Bars (85% dark, 70% dark and Dark with Cherry)

Mrskov is getting me a special present next weekend in Birmingham.

And her mum made this awesome dark choc and orange cake..... yumity yum.

Just back from a nice walk on Dartmoor, a balmy 7 degrees. On the way up we stumbled over a hunt setting up or something, it's certainly the most amount of dogs I've ever seen in one place! not nice on a country lane with very few passing places!

Then we saw some of them whilst on the moors, not sure what they were hunting?

So, new contacts are here. Getting them in first time was a bit of a trauma, it's very difficult to stop yourself blinking when you are basically putting a finger in your eye :D and in all the shenanigans they got flipped inside out, so weren't comfortable to wear. Meaning I had to take them out...

...fuck me, I assume because they are continuous wear ones they have a slightly different profile and suck onto the eye a bit more, as they were a fucking nightmare to get out! Lots of googling to find different techniques till I found one I could actually do with any success, but my eyes are red raw now :D

Luckily, putting them back in a second time once I had flipped them back the right way was a doddle. Hopefully the next time I take them out, in 30 days time, will be easier. Assuming I get on with them that is, very blinky at the moment, and things aren't entirely in focus all the time, but i'm guessing that is part due to needing to get used to them, and part due to me repeatedly stabbing my fingers in my eyes for about a hour, trying to get the bloody things out ;)

It's a foreplay thing. We watched Sherlock Holmes which was entertaining. We then went to the North Bar and had some drinks. Which was acebest. Until I went to the toilet and then opened a door expecting to see a staircase but walked into the ladies. Which was in no way embarrassing. So we went to the Brewery Tap, which was nice, and got the train home. And here we are. We also went to the board game shop, but bought nothing. I had a burrito for lunch, which is a bit like a sandwich, but has rice and stuff in it. It was also pleasant.

Yeah, so that was entirely unsuccessful. Woke up with very dry, red and sticky eyes and blurred vision. Lots of blinking got the right back into focus, but the left stayed blurry.
I'm guessing all the eye trauma of getting them in and out the first time and all the handling of the contacts really fucked up both my eyes and the lenses, i'll try again in a week or so when my eyes work again, now I can put them in no bother. (Getting them out this morning was easy for the left eye, still a bitch for the right eye for some reason.)

YOu had surgery before, right? One of the known long term side effects is eyes that are dryer than normal. You may struggle with contacts, though daily ones would probably be better.

I don't have dry eyes at all normally though. I'll give my eyes a rest and try again with the ones I have, if I still have problems I'll try dailies for a while, if only to get used to getting them in and out of my eyes. I'm sure my fucked eyes this morning is down to spending pretty much 2 hours solid yesterday prodding and poking at them :)

You might have, you just might not notice it. Until you add something else drying to your eyes, like contacts.

Heh. We bought no Quorn or ToFu, either. It was all vegetables and eggs and rice and things. Bizarrely, it wasn't any less expensive than normal a normal shop. I was also recently informed that it was a meat free fortnight.

After dating, for over a year, a vegetarian, I can honestly say that I will never touch Quorn again. Although I got pretty good at cooking with it.

Yeah, Quorn is awful stuff. The false-meat stuff from Holland and Barratt is nice though. Their porkless pies in particular.

Quorn is nasty. I like Linda McCartney sausages and pies though. And that fake bacon stuff, you can make a far tastier bacon butty with that than with the real kind.

I once had some nice vegetarian sausages. They weren't Linda McCartney. Or indeed making any attempt whatsoever to pretend to be sausages.
