Skinted. But from California mainly, vegas came in on 'budget'. Ish.

Doesn't really matter in way though as we decided to blow the budget when we left, as I got told I should be promoted the day before we went, Ali was promoted the day before we went, and just before we left for the airport my stocks statement arrived and it was £1,000 up.

At least thats what Im telling myself.

Haha, there's always an "if this hadn't happened" that blows the winnings... I would have turned a profit in June if I hadn't gone playing above my bankroll at Caesar's and dumped all my profits in one $1600 pot >:(

(all the money went in with me as a 65% favorite though, so poker writers would tell you I made money regardless)

Heh. The only real big money losing time was when I dropped $250 in hooters at lunchtime on the stag, purely because sarah the bar girl was fucking lush. And mixed her JD and cokes very heavily. And that was just rinsing the previous nights winnings.

I really wanted to watch this.....I started, got 10mins in and could actually feel myself growing a penis as I sat there, so I switched it off. Now I'm watching House s4.

Heh. Mrs C likes James May, but was pleased that the next one was about plasticene flowers, as that's more her thing, apparently.

Mrs C about 20 minutes in to this one: "He's just you with long hair, isn't he?"

I'm choosing to take that as a compliment.

I'm looking forward to the Scalextric one, not least as I recently unearthed my tracks and cars from the parents' loft, and am having super acebest fun with it.

Can't remember what it was called, but it had hydrophobic skin and was about the size of 3 or 4 raindrops.

Lol I was in the car when I posted that so luckily not. I was out shopping after work and coincidentally I bought new shoes (well, boots technically). I tried on a gorgeous pair that were too small which was rubbish but then I found another pair which were excellent and fitted me so I bought them. Then I realised both pairs were made by the same brand so who knows why the first pair didn't fit?!
Also had a Nandos after I bought an outfit to match the boots. I don't really know why I'm posting all this actually, it's not really that interesting.
Ah well don't worry, this is the second last week of my girlfriend living away from home so I will be back to normal soon :)

See how hard it is to buy shoes for a woman? :p

Also, please explain how a Nandos can match your boots... they covered in chicken feathers or something? 8)

Ack, the shower scene is extremely uncomfortable. It doesn't help that Sissy Spacek does great bug eyes.

Aww, man. You've just brought back some major guilt. When I was about 9-10, my brother and I used to share a bedroom. My dad built a huge, wall filling, fold down Scalextric set, with scenry and banked curves and everything. We barely played with it, and after about 2 years he took it down and sold it to a mate. :(

I wish I still had that track.

My dad did that for a model railway. It was ace. I loved it and played with it loads and we still have all the track and trains and buildings and platforms and that.

My parents never throw any of our stuff away - their loft is full of our old toys. Which is good, as I want my Lego and Playmobil for me the boys.

EDIT - can you ask your dad's mate if he wants to sell any of your old Scalextric? ;)

My loft has tables between the rafters which would make an ace model railway track. But I'll have moved before I've got the money to put this idea into action.

I have an attic room I'm deciding what to do with once I've tidied it up. I may set up a railway. Or, alternatively, use it for torturing hookers.

Best use a basement for that, you can connect directly to the sewerage, and eliminate risk of escaping fluids.

Hmmm, true. I could just keep my mad ex-wife up there, I guess. I'd need to get one first, of course.

Was it the ex-wife in Jane Eyre?

Aye, nothing worse than a stained ceiling. You could paint your ceilings red, but that gets a bit garish, I find.

Think so. I've not read it, as I don't really enjoy Victorian literature.

I was taken to see it in play form when at school, horrifically enough. It was always stuff like that or gay musicals like Blood Brothers. Says alot about English teachers, I think.

Why all this either/or nonsense? Playing around with your trains would add a wonderfully disturbing dimension to your stabby antics.

Was it the ex-wife in Jane Eyre?

Think so. I've not read it, as I don't really enjoy Victorian literature.

I was taken to see it in play form when at school, horrifically enough. It was always stuff like that or gay musicals like Blood Brothers. Says alot about English teachers, I think.

We did Tess of the D'Urbervilles in Year 9 (if memory serves) and I recall going through the whole book thinking "What a whiny useless bitch" and being somewhat pelased she got strung up.

I disliked Wuthering Heights as well, given all the characters had the same fucking name.

Why all this either/or nonsense? Playing around with your trains would add a wonderfully disturbing dimension to your stabby antics.

It wasn't an EX wife in Jane Eyre, it was a current wife. Mr Rochester couldn't love again until she died.

Tedious fucking book.

But also Tommy and Samantha Janus in Trousers that Zipped up the Bum (I think that's what it was called), of course.

I don't think I've had to endure a single piece of Musical Theatre, ever. I struggle to see the point in it, if you want to hear story with songs, go to the opera, FFS.
