Very nice. I don't like suspension bikes for riding though. They take too much energy and momentum out of the pedaling. They're good on downhill though.

The good ones have suspension lockout and are wonderful. Just flick a switch on the handlebars and the suspension stiffens for hills and roads.

I've come to the conclusion that it might end up being cheaper buying complete bikes from eBay and stripping them of bits than buying individual bits. Wheels for example, my rear wheel was £90 but if I can get a whole bike with a wheel like it for less, awesome.

Although, I suspect that, in this auction, it will end and the price won't be what the seller wants, so he'll do the "pulled auction as I've sold it to someone from a newspaper ad" thingymadoodah.

Shit, I'm one of THEM now, aren't I?

I seem to have imbibed too much alcohol during the football and I am therefore quite tipsy. Please take this into account when reading any posts I may make in the next few hours.

Also I am annoyed that the BBC pundits and commentators included several ex Liverpool players an ex Aston Villa player and nobody who used to play for Manchester United. Where is the supposed balanced view the BBC are supposed to present?

Well, I'll certainly be waiting around tomorrow. The morning/afternoon moments when she comes over are the only two 20 minute periods when I know there is someone caring for my nan, so the last two days I have stepped out for 10 minute air, or nipped along to McDonalds to get a hot chocolate. I have just written a list of everything that is in the fridge, so I'm going to keep track of what is in there.

I've looked all through the freezer and cupboard to make sure that nan couldn't have moved them, even though I know this is impossible as she can't open the freezer drawers at the moment, but they are nowhere to be seen.

I hope you can get this sorted, and I hate hearing about things like this. You don't mind the carer person making themselves a cup of tea or something, but taking the food... >:(

To be honest Meems, I'd probably be reporting her to her supervisor anyway, it's likely that she's doing this elsewhere too, but again it can't be proven, more than one incedent would confirm it. She could well be taking from someone who doesn't have someone around like your gran, and is possible going without meals or thinking they are losing their mind. She might not stop at food either... there's a nice shiny DSi coming up.

If you want some back up I'm in that London from Thursday. :)

Been playing Kirby Super Star Ultra on the DS earlier. It's a port of the Super NES game known formerly as Kirby's Fun Pak, but with grainy video sequences (bad) and more difficult to get the two-player game working practically (also bad). Not so bad as unchallenging nostalgic fun, though. But! Discovered it's no so unchallenging, as once the original Super NES sub-games are all finished, there's The Arena and Helper to Hero sub-games, which are surprisingly difficult for a game of the franchise. Can't believe that earlier I almost threw my DS at a wall in frustration whilst playing Kirby game. :S

The terror/thrills of the hockey have passed and I now can't keep my eyes open. I was concerned this was going to happen during the drive home so I bought a can of 'Rock Star Juiced Energy Drink' and it was surprisingly nice. A surprisingly large amount too, I hate to think what large quantities would do to your insides.

I've often wondered, what's the point of writing reviews for Play.com, apart from informing other people?

Do you get anything for writing reviews like money off vouchers or something?

Does anyone here write reviews for Play.com?

You could say that about any website. For me, if I write a review it's because I know how frustrating it can be to see an excellent deal but not know whether the item's up to snuff or not.

I have a £25 HMV Voucher. Therefore near-instant game purchase is essential.

Should I get Sega Mario-Kart All stars racing, or Bad Company 2, for the more enjoyable MP fun? Actually, if I get Sega All stars thingy, I will also have to buy new controller for Wife, I think.

Aye, I was going to PM & see when you were coming up (my memory is crap). I'll see if anything good is happening that weekend or if anything can be arranged.

Also, I can get to Cardiff for an sensible price if I'm given enough notice :metul:

I would be interested in this, and could offer overnight accomodation for anything up to half a dozen people. I'm a bit outside Cardiff, admittedly.

Actually, South Wales is probably the best place for Beex meets to take place, from a housing room point of view. With half a dozen of us living here we could put the whole of Beex up within a fifteen mile radius of Cardiff. It's harder for people like the Scots to get to, though, of course. Wullie, how cheaply can you get here, and how?

Right, then. Time to re-install Windows 7 before it starts going wonky later on. Fortunately I seem to have had the subconscious foresight to save all of my data onto other drives, so it'll only be a case of re-installing programs.

By spending a few hours being harassed/bored & then spending half an hour cramped like a sardine in a tin can. I can get down for around £20 if I get enough notice (Flybe), but there is the risk of me arriving crabbit.
