The train journey for Jen and I was made a lot kore pleasant when we bumped into Mr and Mrs DavPaz at the station. Got some good banter on the train.
Took a weird route home from the station and I think I may have climbed a fence. Now drinking tea and eating crisps and sandwiches in the hotel room.

Most of you missed the cakes, by the way. We gave some boxes to Gaywood to hand out if he saw anyone, but he's probably eaten them. Either way, they seemed to go down well at the pub!

Forgot to mention, for those still in Manchester, downstairs in the big HMV outside the Arndale is a games zone with about 20 networked PCs and Xboxes. Also, Heavy Rain as being previewed behind a curtain

Back home safe and sound - easy journey back.

Apologies to people I didn't get much chance to speak to but here's some thoughts on those that I did / can remember;

Gaywood - Actually taller than I thought he was having built an image of him in my mind for 10 years as a 3ft high midget.
Albino - If anyone is looking for him I have taken him home for my 4 year old daughter to play with.
DavPaz - The most unlike my mental image of him of all the posters. Dunno why but because I associated the name with "spaz" I had this kind of uber nerd pictured and he's nothing like.

It was a great evening... great to meet all of you.

I did forget I am a sleepy drunk...

The kebab was good but £7.. Also the staff did not grasp the idea of diet drinks. Asked if they had another diet drink other than diet pepsi, so he handed me a full fat one.. :roll:

I had such a great time yesterday :)
if I had one complaint it would be that yesterday wasn't long enough, there were a lot of people that I didn't get to talk to as much as I would have liked...I didn't even make it round to the table in the pub until I'd been there about three hours!
I am totally in favour of a weekend in a cottage now, it would be superb!
Also, Gaywoods missus is lovely, I hope I didn't talk too much nonsense to her :). As is Mrs DavPaz (who gets bonus points for feeding us chocolate eclairs on the train home).

Wow, what a fantastic weekend! Quick comment on each new person I met:

markg: top, top bloke. Was excellent to put the Compoesque face to the voice. Ange put it best when she described him as the yin to Zardoz's yang.

DavPaz and Mrs: stonkingly brilliant people. DP is nothing like the spammer spaz he is online. ;) Mrs P and Ange seemed to get on like a house on fire, too.

Fanny Stupid: Stupid Fanny Stupid ends up not being stupid at all! A lovely lady and seems perfect for the good doctor.

Throughsilver: an absolute legend and my new mancrush. Excellent taste in music, very witty and the best abs on the forum - NO DOUBT!

Malabar Front and Mrs: proof of the saying 'opposites attract'. One quite cool and reserved, the other very bubbly and not backwards in coming forwards. I'll leave it up to you to decide which is which. ;) Also, Miss M made me caekz and they are very tasty! I might let Ange have half of one if she's lucky.

Plissken and Mrs: didn't get to chat to these two as much as other people, but they were definitely very personable and friendly in the short time I did spend talking to them. Also had an excellently tiny t-shirt which Mr Dave only just managed to squeeze into. We all signed the larger one, so I expect he'll soon be framing that and putting it up in the living room.

Kovacs: a top gent. Was part of the sleepy trio with me and Kissyfur. Probably the most unlike his online persona there.

Kalmar: One of the few people I hadn't seen any pics of before, so was a complete surprise! Lovely, lovely man. It was nice to have the modz (accidentally) all sat together at one point.

BikNorton: absolutely nothing like I expected him to be. I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but he was also a brilliant chap and bought a round of drinks for about seventy people on Friday night.

Trousers: didn't get to speak with him as much as I would have liked, but seemed most excellent. Thought he was someone's Dad who'd tagged along before the introductions. ;)

superdupergill and Mrs: fantastically lovely people. SDG and I have planned to run away together. There are one or two minor issues we need to iron out in order to make it work, but the course of true love never does run smooth, does it?

Sinister Agent and 'friend' Amy: was already half-cut when they turned up, so don't remember much of what we talked about. Seemed nice, though. Had some brilliantly funny texts from SA when he was on the way.

Kissyfur: another lovely man and nothing like the oversensitive ball of stress he seems to be on here. ;) Joined Kovacs and me in the snooze brigade!

Pupil: awesome flesh tunnels and another one with great taste in music. Didn't get to speak much, but seemed a great guy.

Mr Russ: the tallest man in the world! I'm sure we played pool at one point, but it all got a bit hazy by then. Another top man.

Nickachu: the scruffiest man on the planet. Get a haircut! A fellow southern brother, though, so I'll let him off.

I think that's everyone. If I've missed you out then you obviously didn't make a lasting impressionI'm a forgetful fuckwit and I'm sorry.

It was also awesome to see everyone else who I'd already met before. You are all brilliant people and I count myself lucky to be allowed to socialise with you. Oh, and sorry about the 'OOONLY WHAN PWND' "joke" that I flogged to death all weekend.

Jas: I don't remember the burger incident (although I remember eating it, weirdly). I don't think swearing (even ironically) in front of children is big or clever, so I apologise unreservedly.
