At least on iPhone, rotating the screen makes the font larger, rather than showing more text. Is that intentional/desired?

No. It doesn't just make the page wider? What?

It's astonishing how hard this is, seeing as how the iPhone and Android use the same bloody rendering engine.

Ooh, Tapatalk's attachment uploading is quite neatly done.

iPhones are fucking stupid >:(

Still, it doesn't look too bad. But why do they feel the need to zoom in when the number of pixels available increases?

Dunno. Works fine on my phone, and that's a completely different rendering engine.

To be fair to myp, I done seen his phone and it's awesome. But if nobody else jumps onboard then I'd rather stay in the walled garden with other people.

Yes, I figured that out after accidentally clicking on a topic title. Slightly counter intuitive seeing as the main site does the exact opposite, but I'm not going to complain as long as it works!

Page 2 in the Forum Runner thread is strange. Remind me to look properly in the morning. Not only do the images force the scaling issue, but towards the bottom, the posts seem to suffer from a weird nesting problem.

As for the last poster, does anyone else use it? It would be nice on the main page view.

I use the last poster link to jump
to the last post!

Good looking theme, will have a closer look in a bit.

Post subject:  Re: Mobile View

I've done some experiments, I think 'last poster' would take up too much space on the vertical view. I'll do some clever to make it display in the horizontal one, but that'll be toward the end.
I'm still angry at the iPhone for zooming in when you rotate it.

If I get one of Mrs Grim...'s old ones, can I use wifi without the sim card in? Failing that, does anyone know if the iPad and iPhone browsers are exactly the same?

Yes! It's the obvious way to read threads unless you're an obsessive-compulsive weirdo who has to read every single post in order :D

Anyway. Regarding style=5, have you done something to it Grim...? The main topic page has gone into giant-o-text.

Suggestion: add an anchor to the first non-sticky non-announce thread in the thread listing. Then we can stick #whatever on the end of our URLs and the screen will automatically load scrolled down to the threads of interest.

I can do the top of the announcements, but not the top of the "normals", as they're ordered from the database, and the template can't tell when they end.

Not exactly mobile view related but recently, I'm getting giant-o-text on every other page load. It only used to affect the default style, so I used the mobile one to avoid it. But now it affects both.

Attachment:

Hit refresh and there's a 50/50 chance it'll load correctly, or belmed out.

Any idea what's going on?

The mobile view still fucks up on my Samsung S8000 (Jet). The built-in browser is a piece of turd which apparently can't keep a massive table rendered, so it craps out and draws huge chunks of grey.

I don't expect anyone to care, certainly not try and fix it, given phpBB's core design being one massive table.

What new features? There was an update for it yesterday, but I haven't noticed anything different. It has iPad support now, though, apparently.

Could be. That's certainly not something new, and it can't be something non-client side that could update itself without updating the app.
