The Bed of Chaos can go and suck a fuck. Cheap as fuck. Getting continually swept into a pit is not fun. I haven't had a problem with an of the other bosses like I am with this one. Fuck off!

I was wondering about this the other day. Can you get people to help you with this boss? What if one ran one way and one ran the other?

I didn't have a problem though, and if anything it took me less attempts than the others.

Agreed, but there are tricks to it. Easiest is

going around the edge where you can't get hit and using ranged attacks. Failing that, there's a point near the end where you can jump over the gap (or at least this is the case if you're trying to reach the left hand side - I don't know about the right)

Started a new game last night as a Cleric. It was nice playing the early bits with the knowledge I had from the first game. I quickly got the help of a kindly soul and we stomped off to kill the Taurus demon. Unfortunately I got a bit carried away, forgetting how weak I was, and got squished. :D

So then I went back to my NG+ save, made quick progress but from two stupid mistakes (mostly from forgetting controls) I lost about 25k souls. Not that it matters too much as I think I need 100k to level up at the minute.

You really can't let your guard down. :)

Even with that bonfire, I didn't enjoy the trek from that to the Bed of Chaos, only to be killed within seconds and then repeating the process. I had to resort to videos and guides on that one.

You really should get hold of a copy.

There's quite a few copies on eBay for under £10 (at the moment).

None of the routesvare short, but I prefered the bonfire which msde you run past the big stompy demon on the bridge.

Or using the scenery for cover? If you can get to the stalagmite-type bits and circle round them, you can squeeze a bit of healing in.

Concentrate on levelling up your intelligence and dexterity throughout the game and kill him with strong crystal spells.

I didn't think Tomb of Giants was especially hard by the way. Whizzed through it. The boss was a piece of piss as well. Once you've taken care of the skeletons with a divine weapon, it's just you and him. What was the bit everyone struggled with?

The long slog approach :D took me over double the time WTB did to get my INT up to the crazy levels needed for me to stubbornly use the spells I'd collected.

Mostly I fought using a levelled up Halberd and the Washing Pole sword.

I think it might have been the order in which some people did each area.

I killed Gwyn with a Crystal Halberd I hastily levelled up to +3 after he knacked me three times. Spent the majority of the game with the Knight Shield (+14) and a Lighting Spear (+5). Nobody could get near me! Didn't bother with magic bar miracles. Healing and the force push ones were handy.

I also used a Raw Iaito where the lighting spear was useless. That thing sliced people up good!

I changed it to Divine for the Catacombs.

But what a game, eh? It says something when everyone ha a completely different setup and way of getting to the same goals. Absolutely awesome. I imagine being a magic class is a different game altogether. And a two handed slugger.

I started playing this last night. Oh, my! it's brutally hard for me, but at no point doesn't seem totally fair. I've gotten to a big monster in the first prison. Who has killed me. Finding a hand axe made me happy, but I don't know how to shoot fire yet.

Early days.

Did you choose the Pyromancer? If so you'll get to shoot fire fairly soon.

Yes, I did. it's more of a puzzle game it seems, mixed in with quick reflexes and memory. not fighty fight fight fight. Which is good.

I've only gotten as far as seeing the big monster for the second time. Took me ages to get there. I've died about 12 times already.

You should have fire by now then. its on a body shortly before you drop down to him. You may already have it (a red hand) and just need to equip it and the fire spell.

Are you getting killed at the first time you see him? If so RUN TO THE DOOR ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE.

You kill him later.

No, when I have to drop on his head. prior to that I was getting slapped about as I hadn't found my axe.
