If I want to know about gnawing bones and licking my own genitals, I shall talk to a talking dog. Likewise, if I require information on the battle of Trafalgar, I shall talk to a man dressed as Nelson. If I need to know whatever the FUCK a dancing elephant knows, then it is they I will talk to. However, if I require insurance of any kind I shall talk to a man in a suit who says "this is a good deal on this insurance" and sod the naysayers.

Didn't we have some dozing though? Remember when you were sliding into the deep, warm sleep and I was like, "Goodnight" and you were like "NOOO WAAAY" and I was all like "we pretended we were going to go to sleep" That was great..."

I seem to be having restless nights at the moment, but I'm not feeling tired. That's a bit weird.

Not surprising because I was up til 2:30 playing Quakelive. Finally I have rediscovered the old skillz. :)

But my fingers hurt :S

Is this full blown insomnia we're talking about here? Do you actually want to sleep or are you comfortable with being awake at this time of the morning.

I trust you've done the obvious things like stop caffeine intake after, ooh, I dunno 3pm and maybe thought about getting some valerian from a health food store - a couple of drops of that in a glass of water is quite good, but I still think the obvious things need addressing first and if you're ingesting any quantity of caffeine at all I'd cut that out now as it really is a lot more powerful a stimulant than people think.

If you're a water drinking herbalising hippie feel free to ignore everything I've just said ;)

I've cut pretty much all caffeine out my diet now, and I feel more awake than I have ever done (after the two weeks of blinding headaches and falling asleep everywhere).

Oh yeah, a warning on valerian if you have cats - they absolutely love it and act like drugged fools if they come across it. Last time I used it was about five years ago and Chooch, one of my moggies spent half an hour going crossed eyed, drooling, trying to shag the glass I'd used for it.

I sleep incredibly well right now. I fall asleep in a few minutes and only wake up during the nights for very short periods. And I get almost eight hours every week night. And yet I'm knackered. Tch.

Forgot to set my alarm last night, but woke up two minutes before it's set to go off. Phew.

That's the guilt talking. The sound of the splash as she went into the canal for her final journey is unlikely to leave you.

I had insomnia pretty much all the way through my teens and have the eye bags to prove it. I guess I'm just catching up now. Or maybe I'm getting old. Pass me slippers would ya?

That would most definitely be a major hindrance. ;)

Took me a about 10 hours to relearn how to move properly which is the most important thing really.

Stress just exhausts me so much that I fall asleep really, really easily.

Basically that involves Craster visiting your place of work and wanking on your shoulder every 12 hours.

:this: for me. Last Saturday I just slept and slept... didn't actually properly wake up till after 5pm. Such a waste of a day. The thing is, I'm not actually depressed as such at the moment, but I'm still on the tablets (though I'm about to start weaning myself off them now) and I think that might be an issue with it.

Annoyingly though, I find I have so much on my mind on the work nights that I'm sleeping really badly on weekdays. Didn't get to slepp till about 3:30am again last night. That, plus the hour each way commute to and from work means that more than once over the last fortnight I've had to get into my car during my lunch break and have a kip.

Laced with crack.

They taste bitter because of the high cocoa content, but the crack keeps you coming back

This morning has been further proof that I'll never go into Management - there's just too many damned meetings. This morning had features such as 'blue sky visions', lots of '360 degree views' and 'lucrativity'. Best of all, as we're working on a project called Cyclops, it was referred to in all seriousness as the one-eyed monster.
