Yeah, I get the imposter thing quite bad. In that I naturally believe in the worst person who ever lived. With the possible exception of Hitler. And Trump

I don't get this at all. I've always believed in my skills and have often said that if you don't believe you're great, then no one else will. I used to apply this theory a lot when I was drumming in bands. People would ask if we were any good and I would always say "Yes. We're the best"

I imagine a few people thought I was a prick but that don't bother me.

Part of it is learned behaviour. If you continually feel criticised or mocked, over time you internalise it and use negativity as a defence mechanism. At least I did.

Whereas I rather suspect that I'm utterly crap at drums, bass guitar etc. Except that people I've played to have thought I was excellent. And I trust their opinion more than mine.
I am rather rusty on the drums right now though, which is troublesome.

Haven't played bass since my brother took his Rickenbacker back, ages ago. Would love to play a bit again. Not much chance of getting my own Ricky though, much as I'd like to. Really unique sound, those basses. An absolute struggle to maintain properly though.

When I get a new house with room you're going to have to come around so we can make sweet music together.

Also play guitar.

What's the difference between a drummer and a drum machine? You only have to punch the information into a drum machine once.

I'm not entering the secret Santa at work either. One of the directors thinks it's a good idea to put all the presents in one pile to be pulled out one by one. You're then allowed to swap with a previously pulled out present.

I've seen the American office when they did this and I know it's a bad idea.

"Bad Santa Rules"

Everyone who is taking part in Bad Santa will pick a number out of a hat. If there are 20 players the numbers will be 1-20.

The person who draws number 1 will go first, pick a present and open it.

Number 2 then goes and has the choice of stealing number 1’s present or picking a new one. If number 2 steals number 1’s present, number 1 can pick a new gift from the table.

Number 3 then goes they have the choice of stealing number 1’s or number 2’s present and so on. The higher the number the better choice you’ll have, but a present can only be stole a maximum of 3 times.

I've played it where all the presents in the pile were wrapped so you had to choose whether to take something that's open or gamble on a mystery box. I made sure I wrapped my gift in a far larger box that was necessary.

Went to the Olympic Stadium today to see England v Australia. I'm a Union man so I don't know much about rugby league, but I really enjoyed it, and was impressed by the stadium (half-full at 35,500). As seems to be the norm for me whenever I attend games, for most of the it the action was at the far end of the pitch from where I was sitting, but I still had a good view, aided by the big screen. A fun day out.
