Watched Ghost Rider on telly last night. I had low expectations of it (anything with Nicolas Cage in has this effect) but I quite enjoyed it, despite the bad guys being rather crap.

"Why hello there receding-haired pilgrim, I'm Sam Elliot, the first Ghost Rider. I'll be riding along with you for this, yur final encounter with that there devil dude."

*Clippity Clop Clippity Clop*

(Few hundred yards later)

"That was a right purdy ride. I'm off now, got meself a stew going..."

A ludicrously stupid film. Enjoyed Sam Elliot as usual though.

Paranormal Activity.

It was good, but i didn't found to be all that scary. And it was just me, or was the actress breasts and tights really distracting? (in a good way)

Utterly brilliant French mystery thriller about a doctor who is attacked and left unconscious while a serial killer murderds his wife.

Crikey, that was a bit good wasn't it! Cheers for the recommendation, chap.

Films I did watching of over the weekend -

Predator 2 - Better than the first one, yes. I wonder if the crazy future space year of 1997 will really be like that? Oh.

Home Alone - Haven't seen in years, but it's actually rather good.

Miss Congeniality - Wasn't expecting much, but it was better than it has any right to be, mainly due to lovely performances by Michael Caine and William Shatner.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation - Haven't seen this before, but I laughed a lot. My in-laws are the Griswolds.

Gremlins - Fucking awesome, obviously.

I watched Blood: The Last Vampire. The recent live action one, not the manga. Don't watch this, it's rubbish.

One of my guilty pleasures, this film. As you say it's far far better than it possible should be.

But he's right, it is better. Watch them both again - neither of them are gilt edged classics if I'm honest, but 2 is marginally better than 1.

Pah Mr Wrongo, the original had the gayest scene in it ever, the 'The CIA got you pushing too many pencils' scene...this obviously makes it 3.5 bannanas better.

If I'm entirely honest, I also marginally prefer Predator 2 to 1. That said, "GET TO ZE CHOPPER!" has become a common phrase around my household.

I'm only hoping that phrase came from Predator now, or else I'm going to look mighty stupid, aren't I?

When I lived with MyFinger, Meaty, and other people you don't know we would watch either Predator or Die Hard approximately five times a week because of the Sky Predator And Die Hard Movie Channel. Both are very quotable movies. "I ain't got time to bleed" was one of our favourites.

"I let him go."

Maybe it's just fucking Arnie. Arnie is the most quotable person ever.

Also, he rivals LewieP for money saving tips.

Back to Commando:
"You steal my car, you rip the seat out, you kidnap me, you ask me to help you find your daughter which I very kindly do, and then you get me involved in a shoot out where people are dying and there's blood spurting all over the place, and then I watch you rip a phone booth out of a wall, swing from the ceiling like Tarzan, and then there's a cop that's going to shoot you and I save you and they start chasing me. Are you going to tell me what's going on or what?"
"No."
