Is it? What is a 'full glass' in ml?

Well, I dunno. The website says "including matched glass of wine for each course" but doesn't say the size. If it's 125ml, which is the smallest measure I've ever seen wine served by, then that's still a bottle each; on top of a six course meal.

If that's the case you'd be lucky to get a thimble. Or a hollowed out crab's eye.

They give them all that wine to fill their stomachs so they don't notice that they haven't been fed properly innit.

Plus they'll burp winey burps and burble once the MASSIVELY EXTORTIONATE bill is delivered to the table.

I haven't had any information on where I could stay or more importantly how I'd get up there, so no.

Not to mention it is, as with all myp-arranged things, occuring on the one weekend out of three where I'll be working.

If you PM A Ballerina Lidl quick enough you could stay there. I have tapped the ass of Gaywood for a shunt back down to my house afterwards, so I'm sure his Pick Arso could fit your shape in there somewhere if you asked nicely.

No information such as Albino saying "If anyone wants to stay with me, please PM me", or others saying "We're all staying at this hotel", you mean?

It's not so much a question of "expensive" as it is a question of "poor value for money".

Also, I just looked up where this place actually was and lolled pretty hard at the pretentious way its website describes its location relative to the nearest Selfridges and Harvey Nichols :DD

Which naturally depends on what you assign value to. Many people here would happily spend £100 on what I would consider to be utterly valueless - but then it ain't my money, so I doesn't care.

Sale, very northern tip, just south of the M60. Easy enough to get to/from the city centre, but (as I'm sure you know) miles of inconvenience from Stockport.

This is all assuming I can get £1150 cash by Friday afternoon. Bloody agents never taking cheques or debit/credit cards.

Are you going to have money left for more drinks afterwards? Because it seems that 4 of us (and open to any more) will be eating quite nearby at the same time...

Provisionally we seem agreed on Genghis Khan, although if more people want in then they will get a say in it too.

Probably, although if it's an 8:30 meal I don't know what time we'll get out. Also the Mrs will probably be trolleyed if it is 6 glasses of wine.

To be fair to me, and we should be, it wasn't just the tequila, but also the 4 or 5 pints of beer that went before it into an empty stomach. I drink very quickly when I'm nervous, (hand/mouth thing in absence of smoking any more) and consequently I often get pissed in new social situations which involve alcohol.

Me too - however, unless AlbinoKid can spare some floorspace (and that sounds doubtful as he appears to be fully booked) it looks like I won't be able to come, as the hotels are booked up and I'm not staying on my own in the Ibis or the brothel one.

Can anyone with a hotel room spare me some floor?

:this:

Lesson learnt last Thursday. Don't give up smoking, go onto nicotine patches, and then go out with work without first considering how this may affect your rate of consumption, the effect of Nicotine still in your system, and taking a few seconds out now and again to make sure you're not too pissed. Otherwise you may just throw up in the middle of the pub in front of your colleagues. At 8pm. After 4 pints.

Well, I can still come, but unless there's some Beex related floor space somewhere for me to kip on I won't have anywhere to sleep!

Have we got a Dimlie for smashing one's head into the floor in frustration yet?
